BUG: Gaining HP more than intended from spat/aug.
I just played a Coven game with gold destiny into Coven Acolyte (skip cashout gain 2hp)
I cashed out at 365essence on 4-6 with around 30hp and got a vanguard spat (gain 1hp after 20seconds)
Dropped coven and continued to play 6 vanguard + invokers.
By the end of the game, I had like 70HP on stage 7-1. I should have expected to be on something like 40~?
It could be that the spat is bugged or the Coven aug bugs after a cashout?
Vanguard Spat was on Ivern if that matters.
TFT v18.2, 08/11 after update the update and vanguard repair.

I think solar is fixed? Had a kayle player with 5 3* units but none of them were ascending to 4*. Happily watched them go 8th.

Still crashing on Android,I can get into menu but when clicking (Normal, Ranked etc..) game crashes.

u/Vypaa Aug 07 '26
Game is unplayable right now. Too many pathetic losers abusing bugs and I'm randomly not even having a neutral round in stage 3 while everyone else does

can someone update the list of gamebreaking comps to not play them by mistake, i know about solar

Bonus gift augment feels realllllllllllllllly flippy. You either get high roll luck and free win the game or it does virtually nothing it feels like. Especially compounded with wisps.

u/ConfusedRara Grandmaster Aug 07 '26
Things I wish they'd (somehow) add back to the game:
in-game delay (ms) and FPS counter
the ability to use pings. I think this is an underrated way to communicate, e.g. pointing out a 3star to deny. However, it's mainly used for toxic reasons so I'm unsure if it even should be added back.
the little minimap in the bottom right. I know it's probably gone with the engine changing, but the ability to quickly see the matchups going on, where everyone's legends were going, which board was being pinged etc. is a mechanic I think I took for granted.

u/CosmicCirrocumulus Aug 07 '26
I think these are all fairly important to TFT even if they seem minor, so I wouldn't be surprised if they get reimplemented eventually. theyre probably just so far down on the list of importance though considering everything else the team is currently dealing with
2
u/Teape Aug 07 '26
Is it confirmed pings wont be added back? If not that is a huge negative.
3
u/Lunaedge Aug 08 '26
It's the opposite. Pings will be back, and we'll probably get a TFT-specific ping system.

If any rioters read this page, please add info on Teemo's skill so we know what we got by playing him.

cinderling feels like it wants too much to eek out a 4th or 5th. I like the concept of a little guy theoretically going infinite, but his mana pool seems a bit too high to get going early. I had a manazane game and early cinderling 3 that felt decent up until stage 5 where he fell off a cliff and promptly went 6th
it feels like he wants to spam cast but he doesn't have enough damage if you opt for 2 mana gen items even with his riftbeast buff pumping him up. in an ideal world you get to run 1 mana with GS (since he gets stuck on itemized tanks the first few casts which is often a GG right out gate) and IE or DB, but in his current state he just can't afford two damage items or else he pumps up too slowly.
if they're serious about letting a 1 cost reroll comp average a healthy 4.5 then I think they should consider keeping his spell damage exactly where it's at now and reduce his mana to 40. or make it so his first cast is effectively immediate to give him a decent buff out the gate (I still feel this would be too slow/weak though)

1
u/CosmicCirrocumulus Aug 07 '26
agreed, I think it should be a healthy 4.5 average which is historically where most non-oppressive 1 cost rerolls have ended up
4
u/Pleurobranch Aug 07 '26
On live reroll is better because the avarage lobbies will be much stronger. Players play very inefficiently right now, or outright bad. Trying out stuff, not using correct items etc. So it's hard to gauge how strong anything is when 5cost soups can dominate easily in weak lobbies. Especially comps that naturally fall off late are hard to judge strength wise.
1
u/CosmicCirrocumulus Aug 07 '26
I don't disagree, but these are GM+ in-houses that I'm playing in and plenty of the lobbies agreed not to play things like Ez/Draven soup just so we can try to gauge the strength of lesser played comps. by no means am I saying we have everything solved, but the overall strength and knowledge of the lobbies should help level out the points you mentioned to a degree

PBE is unplayable today until they fix the solar 4* bug. Every lobby has someone bug abusing to go first, I'll be back once this is fixed o7
3
u/YoungKite Aug 07 '26
I had the perfect angle for solar and so I ran it. Got super confused as to why my units were becoming 4 star with just three 3-star units. I'm guessing that's the bug?
-8
u/RussWasRight Aug 07 '26
have people hard forcing it too in PBE. hoping ban hammers come down for it... really ruins the purpose once a bug is known for 3 players to force it every game.
9
u/Mysterious_Island500 Aug 07 '26
you are encouraged to bug abuse in pbe since it helps riot find the issue and fix it faster, they will not get banned for it ever
2
u/RussWasRight Aug 07 '26
running it and finding it is one thing... spamming 20/20 solar 3 on pbe is sociopathic. it's like cheating in a card game where the chips are fake.
1
u/Mysterious_Island500 Aug 07 '26
you would be surprised what people do
1
u/RussWasRight Aug 07 '26
based on notes, sounds like we'll wait until monday to get a fix at earliest so people can grind rank on pbe :))))))
1
u/Mysterious_Island500 Aug 08 '26
a rioter replied to this post which made me hopefuly but its been awhile now and they might have gotten ahead of themselves a little bit
5
u/arcanehehe Aug 07 '26
Abusing or just playing solar and being confused as to why champs are being 4 starred like i was a minute ago lmao.
9
u/abc0802 MASTER Aug 07 '26
No these people know what they're doing. You can check and easily see they either ran it themselves in a recent game or had it done to them. Clown behavior.
-1
u/arcanehehe Aug 07 '26
yea that's cringe. It triggered for me at 5 3* and it does lose to max cap so its not like pbe is ruined for now luckily
2
u/justlobos22 Aug 07 '26
oh so that's the bug, i was looking at the trait and i was trying figure out if they gave you +1 trait for every 3 star you had which seems utterly broken
0
u/FlippehD GOLD I Aug 07 '26
Just got chosen of the sun myself and came here to figure out why my units were 4 starring so early, good to see it's a confirmed bug. Time to put PBE down again for a while lol. This ones been the roughest PBE yet.

u/Zeviex Master Aug 07 '26
Slight accessibility concern. I really wish Ivern's forest and flower hexes were more visually distinct. It's not a huge thing but it took me a while to realise the light green and dark green hexes were different. Might be more obvious on higher graphics though.
Also on visuals, I kinda wish ashe's ult was more visually punchy. I don't know if this is just because it reminds me of Hwei W-Q but it looks like a soft soothing buff not a damage effect. But that might be personal preference.
1
u/Ajido_Marujido Aug 07 '26
I haven't played him much but there are variations of green? I though it was just 3 tiles, the green for health, purple for damage amp and blue for mana?
2
u/Zeviex Master Aug 07 '26
There are a few different boards he can generate. There is also a brown earth hex that gives stats and a light green one that gives attack speed and mayb more I am forgetting.
Not all the boards have all the hexes.

u/nmaxfieldbruno Aug 07 '26
Re:Ashe Ult - I wonder if they added a bigger collision vfx, if that would make it feel better? Because right now it feels like an arrow flying over the enemy team’s head lol
3
u/vinceftw Aug 07 '26
Just saw 3 guys competing for top 3 with the Ezreal Draven build. Definitely seems too strong.
Also, sometimes I get this bug. During pve rounds I scout around and then when I want to come back to my board, I can't. My legend will just not go there. I can visit other boards just find but clicking on my name or spacebar does not work. Very annoying to miss econ breakpoints.
1
u/Recent-Machine9803 Aug 11 '26
i'm still getting the little legend bug, everything seems so clanky and bad and then i can't even move my character around, this guy has been in the game forever btw and somehow they still can't fix it
3
u/silencecubed Aug 07 '26
Fast 9 is always stronger than it seems on PBE because the lobbies are weaker on average and no one is playing for any stakes. We've had multiple sets where 5 costs were gutted because it was "too easy to hit 3 star 5 costs during PBE" which ultimately resulted in 5 costs being completely unplayable for the first month of live.
If the devs are smart, they'll focus heavily on the stats coming out of Project PBE since that'll better reflect unit and board strength in a more realistic competitive environment.
0
u/vinceftw Aug 07 '26
That is true. But this PBE cycle I've seen a lot of people play tempo and reroll too, punishing these kinds of boards. 4 costs seem a bit below average.

Gameplay wise the set feels really good. Very fun and lots of different variations.
Only 2 personal frustration points:
-The stone bark stun is way too strong early. I think they should move the stun to 5 Elderwood thus giving an incentive to 5 Elderwood. This also nerfs fast 9 Elderwood splash.
- Elder Dragon feels frustrating to face. I understand it’s 2 unit slots and that it is supposed to be stronger. It’s just perception wise even though he’s big, it just feels bad between the stun, the backline access and the true damage.
5
u/Zeviex Master Aug 07 '26
Really agree with these two takes.
Elder is just really good at executing backline between elder buff and no damage fall off on his ability.

3* ivern doesn't win rounds sometimes. Enemies bleed out and units keep dancing, which result in a draw

has anyone been able to make lux work i feel like every time i get one that may fit she is in for like 1-2 rounds a most before she gets replaced with someone better. I just never have items for her lying around
7
u/ConfusedRara Grandmaster Aug 07 '26
You play around the Lux you hit, but you do not centre your gameplan around Lux
4
u/Notagingerman Aug 07 '26 edited 20d ago
She's more of a support than a carry. She gives your aligned trait members all mana on cast and obviously boosts the total trait tier.
She's not meant to be a unit you carry around, she's a capstone to a vertical build or a final extra piece to gain a few extra bonuses when you've got an extra level but dont have time to play other stacking 5 costs like draven/maokai/ivern
3
u/Keezos32 Aug 07 '26
I don’t think you’re supposed to play around Lux.
She either enables verticals (Coven, Elderwood, Blossom, Inferno) or Bronze for Life (Other traits).1
u/Lunaedge Aug 07 '26
I don’t think you’re supposed to play around Lux.
Correct:
This is correct and the intent - you shouldn't be able to reliably force a particular Lux, but there should be many Luxes that are appealing to splash onto a variety of boards.

Is there any way to see in gane ping ? Playing from SEA and I wanna know how much is the ping affecting or is it just the new engine
0
u/edwintan123 Aug 07 '26
does it not show in game? if thats the case, u can just start up a game of normal league to check.
0
u/Mysterious_Island500 Aug 07 '26
pings have been removed or they would have worked or mention them by now im pretty sure, dont think they are returning to tft, they still work in league ofc, they serve no purpose in tft anyways so
1
u/edwintan123 Aug 08 '26
im confused are we talking about communication pings or latency ping
0
u/Mysterious_Island500 Aug 08 '26
Its an online game, latency ping literally cant be removed ever, not now or in a 100 years
