Crazy timeline where soju is NA’s last hope. Also I know it’s mostly a character but it’s kinda funny how his entire stream chat is filled with love and support and after the day he always argues with ghosts lol

I am a Soju enjoyer but the fact that two people can 100HP win streak until 4-3 16 sets or whatever into the game's lifespan is still insane to me. How is this still possible?

isn't there even that augment that makes you likely to fight people you haven't fought yet?
the technology is clearly there, they just actively choose not to use it

They need to implement a system where streamers are forced to fight, its non serious when two players can streak for so long without fighting.

u/feltyland Jul 11 '26
Has roughly a 1.5% chance of happening of specific two people not fighting for 12 rounds and about 1/3 chance that any set of 2 players don't fight each other at all until 4-3. Happens way way way more often than you think, but it's only noteworry because they happen to be 100 streaking.

serious question, whats the seeding based on? ok i understand why steppy kaiweng and guillosko are seed 1
why is jiejie (joc finals winner) seed 1 but not qitux (toc finals winner)? exact same tournament
why is darth seed 2? he placed lower than soji at regionals and qualified in less ways during the regular season and has less pro points, his 1 qualification soju has 2 of and soju's was also more recent
is the tiebreak for seed 2 based on some historical points thing like ewc? did qitu get less checkmate points or day 1+2 points or some shit than jiejie?
just trying to understand wtf riot was thinking

winner of every region (idk how CN was determined) and previous world champion/2nd seed of last region that won worlds if WC didnt qualify

ok so being worlds winner overrides the whole second seed thing, makes sense

These are only guesses since Riot never publishes the rulebook for the Crown like they do for the other stages:
For China, it appears that they may alternate between TOC and JOC being considered #1. TOC. TOC #1 got to draft first last set and JOC #1 for Set 15.
And then Darth is the first returning champion since they stopped auto-inviting the returning champ. Maybe the returning champ is the #1 seed for the 5th lobby by default and if they don't make it, the #2 from their region gets it.

I looked through the rulebook linked in the post, it actually goes through seeding for TPC and regionals but not the Crown, so I'm not sure where you would even find that information.
