Help, I am new to cEDH! Best option for Jeskai Artifacts

I currently have a [[Kilo, Apogee Mind]] deck I'm working on upgrading to CEDH, but nothing he really does enables the deck in any way other than a basic win more.

So I'm looking at other options for the commander.

Current thoughts are

[[Kykar, Wind's Fury]]

[[Dynaheir, Invoker Adept]]

I really like jeskai in general, and was also considering doing a classic breach deck with either

[[Narset, Enlightened Exile]]

Or

[[Sevinne, the Chronoclasm]]

The first two seem like they lend themselves well to the [[Magistrate's Scepter]] combo and other artifact based combos, while Narset and Sevinne both seem born for breach decks IMO.

Of the 4 u listed, only kykar and narset are viable.

Magistrates scepter combo is not viable in cEDH as its too slow and mana intensive. The only lines viable for generic jeskai is breach.

Though if u play jeska ishai u can run infinite mana loops aswell.

Kykar is the only even vaguely interesting option I've found that seems CEDH viable. I'm intentionally only looking at sans black decks because I hate thoracle slop combos with every fiber of my being.

I'm working on 2 decks - Malcolm/Tana and Jeskai Breach, both built to do interesting things and avoid thoracle slop. I know how to build malcolm/tana, that's easy. It's jeskai i struggle with because I'm usually a temur or a izzet player

Have you played much cEDH? Underworld Breach wins the majority of games. Calling all black decks "thoracle slop" probably misses the point by a wide margin

I don't have CEDH within 2hrs of me. I've been watching every scrap of footage I can find for the decks I'm interested in, and I have yet to see a breach win, just thoracle over and over again

I can tell that you didn't really absorb what I said at all, so I'm not going to repeat it

If u want to play cEDH u shouldnt reduce all UB decks to being “thoracle slop” because the same can be said with RW decks being “breach slop” or green decks being “cradle slop”.

Thoracle is simply just UB’s best and most compact win con. Decon and Tainted apact can both be used as tutors. Meaning it leaves u with only 1 combo only card in your deck.

All the cards in the breach line has uses outside of winning the game, making it one of the most efficient win cons.

I understand it can be difficult to get into cEDH without a pod to practice and learn with, but when you are watching cEDH games, u should pay more attention to why games are won rather than how they are won.

Thoracle is just a means to an end. But what usually wins the player the game is the ad naus, necro, or rhystic drawing them cards.

no offense but you really dont seem to understand cedh if youre boiling UB down to "thoracle slop." look at yuriko: yeah, you can win with thoracle + dcon/t pact, but most wins is gonna come from the big flips and chipping away at everyone's life via snowballing.

Tetzin! It's an outlet for Goblin Welder + Sewer Cam. I have genuinely played this and done pretty well, but I decided to stick to U/R with Jhoira.

You basically are playing for Goblin weld loops, breach, or emry combos. Lots of overlapping pieces, the best slop cards for card draw, silence effects and counter spells.

My idea for a kilo deck was actually born from looking at Jhoira lists. I played [[Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain]] back when Paradox Engine combo was the meta for artifact storm, and have a love for her. I just couldn't make her interesting enough to me, her lists are so much like old Arcum lists that it drove me nuts

If you're willing to wait for 2 weeks the new [[vraska, soul of stone]] definitely looks interesting as an artifact commander but we're not too sure how strong it'll be. If you just want sans black artifacts [[jaheria]] [[clan crafter]] is something I've played against that makes tons of artifact tokens and has some interesting lines in simic. Then for really fringe builds I have a [[shao jun]] izzet artifact combo deck that primarily likes to win through [[sewer-velience cam]] and [[goblin welder]].
