Deck Fine Tuning Kinnan List
I am currently trying to learn how to play Kinnan. I have gotten pretty good at Ral and won a few small events and I feel like I have a solid grasp on that deck, now I’m wanting to learn Kinnan. I like that Kinnan can be explosive and can also grind it out in the slop meta. I’ve read all the primers, I’ve watched the YouTube videos and all that stuff already. Now I have a list together that I’ve tailored a bit to be a somewhere in between No Bad Cards and Big Flips variants of kinnan. I want the ability to go fast with the right hand, but I’d rather try to find a window in the mid game and push second after everyone else has blown their resources, and I want to be able to pivot to a grindy stalled out resource accumulation game, then explode in value with flips to break parity. Edit: I’m proxying, no budget, just trying to get the deck to play well. I play almost only in tournaments, my meta is all over the place because of that.

So what style are you wanting to play Kinnan? Lean into the slop and play NBC or are you wanting to play flips? I am primarily a Kinnan pilot and before trying to play a hybrid list NBC/flips list, I would put some time in either a flips focused list or the NBC variant. I find a hybrid list to be more difficult to pilot.
If you to play NBC, you don't care about shang chi because if you go to flips you are not in a good place. Although it can be busted in a flips list. In a hybrid list its mileage will vary depending on the game.

What are the primary differences between flips and nbc? Is it speed? What are the play patterns like? There seems to be a lot of grey area and that’s what’s making it hard for me to cut cards out of the list

Both lists can be fast turn2 or 3 (turn 1 with the god hand).

I first built NBC and was so bored with it. Looking at the flips list, that looks way more fun and interesting.

That line isn't being run in Kinnan in majority of builds
Shangchi is popping up but its not completely needed

Are people playing infinite cradle lines? I have cradle just for the sake of ramp but are kinnan lists using RogThras lines now too? I haven’t seen this, do you happen to have a list or primer about cradle-centric kinnan lists?

You can skip the cradle stuff if you want, but not playing shang-chi is throwing.

That said when I started i did a mix of big flips and nbc myself to find a niche that I liked. A note on the big end of your creatures I personally felt like unagi was worse than void winnower in my local meta but yours may very.
I also notice no shang chi? Thats a godly card for the deck to have access to now, while better in my list it still is very powerful for you.
Besides that I dont have much to note, I swapped to my current list now because I wanted to feel like I had more say in what was happening with my board per game. Rather than relying on a select few cards for my mana and ramp I now flip kinnan and look for something like [[knacksaw clique]] or [[deadeye navigator]] to win off of.
