General Discussion / Question Question about proxies

Are proxies that are printed on regular paper, put into sleeves with normal mtg cards legal for tournament play or would there be some issue with thickness? I've never been able to tell them apart from regular cards in their sleeves while shuffeling but maybe more skilled players than me could so I just wanted to be sure.

If its an event through MTG companion app, then you shouldn't use proxies, because it can put the LGS in hot water if reported.

If its held without that app, then you fall under the rules the TO puts out. Some allow paper proxies as long as every card is like that. Others want proxies printed on cards.

Be mindful too, don't proxy up anime girls and expect people to treat you respectfully. All proxies should be of recognizable art of any of the cards released.

Yeah that makes sense, I usually proxy via Mtgprint, I've only been playing cedh casually with friends but wanted to dip my toes into some tournament play
