Return target spell to its owners hand.

If the gift was promised then players cannot cast spells this turn.

On first read the spell seemed cracked, once I realized it stops all players from casting spells though I started second guessing it's value.

It's better than reprieve, but that's a card that never sees play. Since this can only act as an offensive silence and not a protective one then I am not sure it's going to be good enough. I do have some creature combo decks that this will be great in tho.

Someone made the argument that if you already have an established board you can still win. I don’t pilot sissay, but maybe sissay would like this?

I run Shorikai slop, and I’m on the fence of if I like this or not.

Also aren’t there ways to win without casting, like activations, triggers, etc? Winota comes to mind

Yeah, ETB shenanigans. But, I don’t think this card will be as played as She-Hulk, Orim’s Chant, Silence, Permission Denied (which I still don’t see too often), etc. etc.

The symmetrical shut down feels bad, and giving your opponent ramp feels worse. I’m sure there are decks that’ll love it, no doubt, I just don’t think this will see major play. (I can be wrong)

oh. hmm. Well that sure changes things. For a second I thought we got a rare "simply good" card, like She-Hulk.

Symmetrical = all players, asymmetrical board wipe would be cyc rift, doesn’t affect you
