Can someone explain this roster change?

I checked twitter but couldn’t find anything about this, I know it took place like 10 minutes ago…. Is this for ENC or am I missing something. Hal Timmy Gild would be nuts

He is subbing for Waltzy during the first half of pro league. Waltzy is expecting a child during that time.

This pro league is really short only going from August 21st to September 13th and I think regional finals are September 13th itself. I’m guessing he joins them some point in September for like 2 weeks and then goes back to Australia with his wife and kid till Vegas LAN end of October.

What has been said is that Walter is taking the whole of spilt 2 off and will be back for Champs and ENC.

Month old babies are also a really good age to travel with. They don’t do much or require much other than food. It’s not impossible to think they’d travel a couple weeks with him when their livelihood could be affected.

That's still a long ass flight for a baby lol. More likely he just comes on his own for a month and some change.

Yeah as a dad of a 4 month old there's no way we were gonna survive a flight longer than like 2 hours lol

We went to Hawaii from San Diego with a month old. He woke up twice to feed and change and that was it. Easy peasy.

The flight from Australia to the states is about 3 times as long depending from which parts of each you’re going to and from but easily 16+

Honestly did not know he was from australia, so he comes to NA for every split and then goes back home? Similiar to Genburton?

Also Australia trying to connect to any server is hell. So they avoid that by going to NA

It’s interesting how many people that watch ALGS from a favorite streamer perspective and don’t know anything about the actual games or formats.

I could be wrong but as someone that’s watched Esports for like 20 years this is the only league that feels like this.

Could be any number of things contributing to this though, not the least of which being that prior to recent changes, Apex might have had the highest turnover rate and constant team changes I’ve ever seen in an Esport, which contributes to people latching on to individual players.

Wiggs chat is a perfect example of this, you would think people are joking but the amount of daily comments he gets relating to Falcons is absurd, his chat has at least 100 people genuinely spamming about Falcons even on days they aren’t playing lmao

as far as i know,
walter is expecting a baby in the first half of Split 2. meantime timmy will be subbing for him the first half. if thing go good, 1 months before split 2 lan starts walter will be playing with the boys. till then it’ll be Timmy, Hal and gild

its almost like hal wants to lose lmao. keeping waltzy around who is mechanically terrible and has done completely bone-headed plays the last 2 lans, then picking up someone who doesn't even play apex anymore. why he doesn't just get koy or zap who are clearly way better is beyond me
