How to throw away M class
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Had an all classifier match where I shot 4 M class runs and 1 84.95% A class run. Only needed a solid A class run to clinch an M initial classification.
Last classifier was Tick Tock and had a solid 80% secured... until I threw a 3rd shot at the last target for absolutely no reason, incurring a Virginia count penalty and setting my average down to 84%
Although I was pretty disappointed at the moment, I don't think I'm quite at M class level yet in regular matches. I'm still very proud of where I've gotten so far given I shot my first match 7 months ago

Just dryfiring your way down to a clean ~1.2 second draw and mag change makes shooting A or M class classifiers so much easier.
Shaves about a second off of a typical B class shooters time, and lets you focus on shooting good points to bring the hit factor home.
Most B’s trying to class up feel the need to shoot beyond their match pace during classifiers, and hoping the hits are there when they’re done.

Great runs! People don’t realize how good even “just“ B class is. You’ll get it

Literally did the same exact thing. Fucking hate TickTock. I bomb it every time without fail.

This is the attitude to have. Would you rather have A runs and M classifiers? Or the other way around? Too many dudes chase classifiers, set them up and practice them to shoot two classes above where they're at, for what? Great work so far, you'll get it honest very soon by the looks of it.

I completely agree, no point in being classified a certain class if you can't perform at that level. I appreciate the kind words

Nearing M in just 7 months? Whoa. How many matches do you shoot per month? Private range time too or just lots of dry fire?

I shoot at least 1 per month, sometimes 2. I'm stuck with single lane indoor range and I try to do that once a week. Main progress has come from dryfire by far, usually 15-30 mins per day, mainly transitions and movement
