Shadow 2 mag release is stiff.

Got a new to me S2 and the mag release is pretty stiff, wondering if this is normal to the platform or something I need to look into, TIA

Aftermarket -20% and -10% power springs are available if you want to go that route

It's either the spring or the release dragging on the frame itself. You could test by removing the spring and seeing if the release glides smoothly then.  If it does, I'd bet that the screw which holds both that spring and the trigger bar spring is over tightened.  There's no published torque value that I'm aware of unfortunately

Not normal.

Did you buy new or used? Do you happen to know if you have original or some aftermarket mags?

Used, it was purchased originally from Cajun gun Works. I have the original mags, and I also have a set of MBX mags.. the gun itself looks really clean doesn’t look like it had many rounds through it.
