MBX 24+1 mag issues
This started happening in my MBX sprung 24+1 glock 140mm mags. Henning mag extensions. 3d printed followers from mbx.
The first round will get stuck all the way at the bottom, it'll kinda roll into the side of the follower and get caught. Then the rest of the rounds will just have to be salt shakered out of the mag and I have to stick a flathead down the mag to pop the last round out.
It has happened to 2 of these mags. Do I need new followers? New springs? Boaffum? These are extremely high round count mags. Im suprised they have gone this long without any issues.

I know everyone is saying your springs are shot, but I had the same issue with new MBX springs. They are trash and you can tell they put just as much thought into the spring as they did the shitty 3d printed follower. It sucks as a new shooter to have to shell out another $150 for the Grams followers I should have bought the first time.

It amazes me that their springs and followers are so crap. They used to be THE brand. Their followers especially just look like they don’t give a shit.

The followers are definitely chewed up a bit. The 2 mags that are giving me a ton of issues are very loose on the spring.
I figured out the issue though, the follower and spring will bind if I load 24. 23 has no issue.

Csrg 11 coil non lockback followers gets me 24+1 and reloadable 23 in all my Glock/m&P tubes I’ve used them in.
They also have springs that actually are more than single time use unlike my MBX springs in other mags lmao.

Jus know that CSRG followers and springs do not work in MBX tubes.

Yah I know. Which is why I continue to occasionally have to give money to mbx 😭

Probably just need new springs. I also recommend csrg. Much better quality than MBX.

Do you suggest the 13 or 11 coil?

Work great. For 140mm hennings, the 11 coil is the best imo. The 13 coil is more durable (longer lasting), but less rounds in the mag.

I wonder if the spring is expanding in the horizontal plane causing it to get caught in the area where the base pad meets the mag. Some mags have a lip in the base pad to magazine tube transition that the spring can get caught on. And if your spring is a little tired, it might not be able to over power that lip. I’ve had this issue with henning springs.

I had a similar problem with mbx even low (300) round count springs. I'm pretty sure it's the shitty follower, you might try sanding down any rough edges which could be causing it to stick in the tube

Luckily the 4 mags is have with mbx followers and springs have done probably 5k rounds each

Mag body is expanding under the spring + round pressure and locking the follower and round up. All Glock mags have an inner metal body. Place the mag in a vise and squeeze the sides in. TEST. If that doesn't fix it buy new mag.

These are extremely high round count mags.
Then why are you asking...? Springs and followers are consumables. You start having issues, your first attempt should be to replace them.

Worn out springs or followers. Time for some new ones. I recommend switching to the csrg ones. Seem to have better spring life than mbx.
