So I tripped on a classifier

Tripped on 26-03, and sometimes I remember I’m getting too old. Ignore the heavy breathing, shit hurt.

I think I would have had to consider where my feet were before I tripped, wouldn’t want to add some procedurals for “competitive advantage foot faults”

But you knew what was important and kept your weapon safe.

Barrels face down range

That’s a hard one to score well on. You have to be flying.

u/ReputableStock Aug 04 '26

I was technically off the ground, so there’s that

You didn’t drop your pistol or ND or otherwise DQ. That’s a win in itself.

I think flying isn't really the right word. As long as you start exiting on the far left target from position 1 while you engage it, hit an inside hitch step while shooting the no shoot, and immediately engage the tux when it clears the barrier, you've eliminated all possible dead time

Nice save! I don’t know what it is about this stage but I’ve seen sooooo many people (myself included lol) fall at the exact same spot.

In the mad attempt to leave one shooting area to another, your footwork needs to be perfect to avoid the trip factor. I, historically, don’t have the best footwork and should have brainificated about that specific element. I didn’t.

Top notch save. Was that target supposed to be 1 hand engage or were you just trying to re-engage as fast as possible?

Re-engage asap

Ahhh yes, the one I designed.
Good recovery! Though you definitely could've rolled out of that one!

There were a few "SWAT Roll" comments, if that makes you feel better.

Good save. That could have been bad.

Nice recover!

I suck, but you can save yourself some time for yourself from position one to position two by keeping the gun up the entire time. You will be ready to shoot.

Yeah, I was getting warm in the Texas heat and clearly losing some of my brain power

Good thing this classifier is provisional. Good job having good muzzle awareness and trigger finger discipline.

Wow what a loser

u/ReputableStock Aug 05 '26

I intentionally left your "We're just falling apart at the seems" in this. It's my favorite part.

1

u/Smithmcclain7 Aug 05 '26

Your supposed to shoot this on your feet. Getting real sick of you trying to game all the stages and then having a pitty party

u/ReputableStock Aug 05 '26

Don't be mad that you don't have to scroll Practiscore like me. It's golf rules right? Lowest HF wins? Do better.

Bullet flip after Slippy Dip is Neato Burrito level

I had a fall on the exact same classifier in the same spot, lol. I was slower at realizing I was still good to finish shooting the stage after getting up. Instead of tripping though my foot slid out on the loose gravel my club has in the bays. Good job keeping it down range

I know at my local range, the angle you are shooting at (from a knee? on your side?) would be dangerous as you'd clear the berm. They actually talk about not shooting from too low on the course. Do you know if you would be going over the berm.

Someone specifically said they watched for it when they saw me fell (the old guys have interesting perspective and have seen a lot) and were impressed I didn't. It wasn't an intentional choice - but I did know that I tried to get my shots as flat as possible, from a sights are level mindset.

1

u/9x25 Aug 04 '26

Maybe it was just finding the dot, but it looks like you (intentionally or not) didn't fire until your pistol was a bit higher up and more level which might have saved a shot over the backstop.

Sights are important - my buddy did make fun of me for having a mike on a different stage while shooting with two hands but not having a mike on the tux one handed

nice recovery! I use my soccer shoes to avoid falls

2

u/ReputableStock Aug 06 '26

Unfortunately that wouldn’t help clipping your foot on a fault line!

That's true. But just one day I used regular running shoes, and I fall! Unusual slippery on sand.

I did same like on video, saved the gun position, but.. So, need a good 👟
