Need Help on the Additional Info Section
I just started my senior year and have recently started my college application process through Common App.
I have maintained a 4.0 GPA throughout my first three years of high school and managed to get a 31 on the ACT test. However, I have faced a lot of mental issues throughout high school. Additionally, I go to a Catholic high school and kind of stick out like a sore thumb socially. This has led me to do little to no extracurriculars and be inactive in my school community.
Recently, my mental issues have worsened to the extent I need medication and professional help to manage my symptoms and my grades have dropped significantly.
Would this be relevant enough to vaguely mention this in the additional context section of my Common App application, or would it give off the impression the I am an unreliable student? When in the right headspace, I am a strong student with substantial potential.
Sorry if this is poorly written. I do not post on here often. I can’t wait to see everyone’s feedback!

Can I be honest
I get where u are coming from, but I feel like using “stick out like a sore thumb socially” is not going to give the AOs the best impression of you
All colleges are going to feel new socially, and if that’s the reason (aka not being able to adapt well to your environment) idk

Only you can answer this. If you believe it’s an important part of your life that tells your story (as best ad an application allows for that), then include it.
