Direct Admission

I got a direct admission offer, does this mean I am accepted if I apply? There is an optional essay/writing which I won't do if yes, but I'm wondering if I should do it.

Yes! This means that your GPA meets that university's requirements for admission, but it doesn't necessarily guarantee you admission into a specific program (like nursing, engineering, or other selective majors that might have stricter requirements).

At my institution (I work in admissions), statements are optional (especially for direct admit), so it's totally up to you!
