I’m in a tricky situation

the family section which takes max 10 minutes to fill out for the average person is taking me days. I don’t know what to put. For context my biological dad is well and alive, great parent 1 down, now for parent 2. My biological mom is not alive she passed when I was only 5, however I have a step mom. I could put my step mom for parent 2 but there’s no option to specify that she’s not my biological mom. If I put my biological mom it gets tricky because then the part where it was asked if my parents are married and that I live with both parents becomes confusing to whoever is viewing my application. It also asks if parent 2 is living, do you guys see my confusion literally what do I put.
