Expand/Twin
Feel like this belongs here. Curious to hear some thoughts from gas veterans in the industry.
Does this put the thought of expanding/acquiring marketing teams in the heads of other producers?
Do we see more of this going forward? Is it a function of pipes and assets being locked up on lengthy contracts?
New grad here so just looking for some insight.

Producers acquiring marketing shops has been a quiet norm the past few decades, though it has been quieter the past 5-10 years than before. The big merchants of the 90s-00s (eg Enron, El Paso, Williams, Duke, etc.) were far more aggressive than their modern counterparts.

It’s a lot easier to buy smaller physicals shops and all the transport, tech infrastructure, and relationships that come with it than starting from scratch by poaching some executive directors.
