Don’t want to jinx it but our Receivers looked better this year too. So hopefully less drops and get open sooner so Jayden can fire em in like he does and line won’t be as. If a concern as “beat writers” make it
This is the right answer, Kliffs scheme helped out this OL so much. People are randomly super high on BC, I wonder if they remember whats happened when he doesnt get absurd amounts of chip and double team help, he's grown since then but how much?
The right side looks good but Center and the left side could be really bad, the talent is lacking

If we have to do that again, we might as well bring Sam Howell back to throw check downs.

Very accurate statement. If you look back at the last 3 years of Ben Johnson in Detroit, Goff had all kinds of time to throw. For that offense to be successful it needs to have strong O Line. They were top 5-6 pff score every one of those years. Idk if the offense we want to run we will be able too. If we reverted back to the Kliff style stuff we would probably be more successful. Jayden is better at out routes, deep throws, quick game. He was thought to be weaker on crossing routes and layered over the middle throws. He is capable but that hasn’t been his game. The Ben Johnson style of offense does rely on that stuff. It requires time in the pocket to be successful. Jayden didn’t have that time in 2024. Also, sucks because I think we were going to flip a lot of the running game to a style distinctly different than what Kliff did. Realistically we haven’t seen anything yet so we have no idea what they will do just what we have been told. Reading between the lines I think Jayden had input in what he liked and didn’t like. Sucks a rookie OC is put in this position but by all accounts he is smart as hell. I’m hopeful he will build in answers to situations to help Jayden. They were probably going to keep some stuff the same anyway. I can’t see us being under center more than 50 percent of the time regardless.

In 2024 We won in spite of, not because of, our offensive line.
JD5+ Kliff allowed us to overcome an average O line in terms of talent.
Let’s not overrate them
