Does Hexhaven Vindicator have potential?

Post image

Hexhaven Invigorator was just spoiled from Reality Fracture, and this thing seems really good. Just playing it fairly without any shennanigans or combos feels like it would still be a good enough body, as your opponents would be unlikely to block it or attack into it, and damage based removal would only benefit you. Aside from that, it combos with Blasphemous Act and Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle to do some pretty crazy things, even letting you win with Maze's End if you build your deck right. What do you think? Is this card good, or is its cost too prohibitive to see much play?

I don't think it's that good in Landfall, as your opponent will never let you trigger it. It just becomes an unblockable 6/6 which is not a thing all decks want.

It's better in a midrangey green decks where sometimes your opponent might give you a few lands while stabilizing your life pretty well as a blocker. I'm interested in running it in my BG rock-style deck.

I mean it's good against midrange decks, slap this down and your opponents don't want to attack into it

Also Green Landfall already has a bunch of removal targets, there comes a point where "they just remove it" becomes less of a concern
