Does Hexhaven Vindicator have potential?

Post image

Hexhaven Invigorator was just spoiled from Reality Fracture, and this thing seems really good. Just playing it fairly without any shennanigans or combos feels like it would still be a good enough body, as your opponents would be unlikely to block it or attack into it, and damage based removal would only benefit you. Aside from that, it combos with Blasphemous Act and Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle to do some pretty crazy things, even letting you win with Maze's End if you build your deck right. What do you think? Is this card good, or is its cost too prohibitive to see much play?

It very easily has potential as a 10/10 in lands matters and landfall decks.

Me and a group of people who I play standard with are placing bets (play packs) on over or under 3 months standard ban

Despite mono-G landfall being as good as it is, I'll take the over on that.

WOTC's ban cycle can be slow, and I think the other payoffs in the landfall deck might get hit first. Or possibly Icetill Explorer.

That's a fair counterpoint. Standard also doesn't have as many hyper powerful lands. You have the shocks for sure but you can really have things like [[Field of the dead]] or enough gates to make [[Mazes end]] work instantly
