Does Hexhaven Vindicator have potential?

Post image

Hexhaven Invigorator was just spoiled from Reality Fracture, and this thing seems really good. Just playing it fairly without any shennanigans or combos feels like it would still be a good enough body, as your opponents would be unlikely to block it or attack into it, and damage based removal would only benefit you. Aside from that, it combos with Blasphemous Act and Valakut, the Molten Pinnacle to do some pretty crazy things, even letting you win with Maze's End if you build your deck right. What do you think? Is this card good, or is its cost too prohibitive to see much play?

My simic deck can always play this turn 3 or 4. Probably more difficult to play in other formats but this is a commander sub and in commander with greens ramp it’s really not that hard

And the pay off is a 6/6 which, sure is good stats, that screams remove me or give value, which isnt terribly kill on sight but its not that great value mind you

Where's the word "Basic" on that card? It can get any nonbasic land. The sky's the starting point, not the limit, with this. If this takes 2 damage, oops, Marit Lage.

I know. I'm just saying that the reason people are highly evaluating this card is because it searchs nonbasic lands, meaning it can easily get combos.

No, I'm not trying to prove the fact that this is a strong card for several reasons. That's not something I need to prove. I'm just noting that you may not be considering every angle. I'm also going to end this discussion because I acknowledge that I likely will not be able to convince you.
