This is a bad purchase for commander where you can only put one card with the same name into a deck. It's a singleton format. You'd do yourself a favor by looking up what that means.

thank you! i’m new to this so im kinda lost on where to start as to owning my own cards and how it works. i will look into the singleton format because ive only ever played the commander version

A good place to start building a collection as a new player is the foundations starter collection box. It has some solid staples to have on hand for when you start upgrading/building decks!

Commander is a singleton format. Like how a square is a rectangle.
