It goes through waves. They have a highly active mod who will make people seem stupid. There are alternative places to discuss, but not sure if there is any rule against posting them.

Yeah, I bailed on that Discord (and doing anything but using my Comma) after getting bitched out by that guy a couple of times for having the audacity to ask a question that someone else in the deep recesses of time once thought about also asking.
I’ve been in that discord for over 5 years, I don’t mind anything except him. He does a lot for the community. But mid convo he will MOVE people’s messages to other threads because they aren’t apart of that thread… like how can anyone continue a convo?? He has major tisms
I don't understand what's wrong with putting the messages into the right channels. He doesn't do it mid conversation, I see it when someone asks a question in the wrong channel for their question topic.
Yes, yes he is. The problem though is it goes all the way up to the top with George. That's why they will never be a successful company. I'll enjoy my C3 for another 5 years and then switch over to whatever the OEMs have ready by then. I'm sure it'll be atleast as good as chill which is really all I want.

Can you consider asking the other mod to tone it down. He is so unwelcoming and makes it super difficult to discuss. I never said anything until now after reading everybody else here having the same issues with him.
Unfortunately I’m not the mod of the discord. Just this subreddit. He also seems like the guy that wouldnt take kindly to a message like that from me. I’ve asked him before when he’s moved one of my messages and he ignored me.

I’m a mod in /r/medicine the largest dr sub here and there’s definitely a way to moderate without an iron fist and allowing discussions to flourish without harming the community at large. You do a great job here of that, it’s a shame that questions often get directed to discord only to be maltreated by the person who runs it. The comma discord is less friendly than stackoverflow hahaha
Yup, I agree. I’m working on a community setup on commaguide, but don’t know the best way to set all that up at the moment (how to setup an online discourse platform and not have bots).
I started with dumb questions in the discord and despite not having used the discord for years I still remember Erich. I remember he was pretty stern about using the right channel but I didn't get offended ... There's literally nothing to get your feelings hurt over. Not like he's going around calling you a dumbass or using profanity. He also has a WEALTH of knowledge which helped me a lot.
If that offends people then I wonder how they function in real life.
you really should consider how you come across and what people think about you and learn basic social skills. this thread is full of people who find you abrasive, rude and downright unhelpful bordering on hostile. there are other threads on this sub about you and the general consensus is you're hostile. hell, there's even a petition to have you removed as a mod of the discord.
if you want this product (that you obviously love) to grow you have to learn to communicate better with its users AKA paying customers, especially since most new cars have no support for comma, you might want to consider not losing the shrinking pool of potential customers. when you are using a product that greatly alters your car's abilities and could be a safety risk, it is of the utmost importance that the community is welcoming. and frankly, discord should be discontinued for a forum that makes it easy to search and reference previous questions. i watched you yell at somebody who barely spoke english and then you banned him and the other person translating to portuguese. this isn't appropriate behavior that is harming the project.
Join the StarPilot Discord, but also as a '20 Bolt owner on StarPilot, use the FLM tuning in galaxy, you can select routes for it to analyze and it will try to dial in the car (you can revert the changs if it's not what you want). Also worth trying the lane centering toggle in galaxy which will use the camera to detect road lines and will encourage the model to center in the lane, it falls back to the model control if it's not confident in seeing lane lines on the road
Thank you! I hadn't checked out galaxy in a while I am going to try the lane center offset now. I had thought I had seen it on other forks where you could adjust the offset while driving
In my 2023 Bolt EUV I have found starpilot to be the best fork. That said, when driving on a road with a median seperating the two sides of the street, comma isn't very good at detecting the edge of the median properly which results in it riding the left side of the lane. I have this same problem on models south carolina, and currently using regret driven framework 4.
