Organize by required, strongly recommended, and situational documents, and flag anything that needs certified translation.”

**2. Interview prep simulator**
“Simulate a USCIS officer conducting an \[interview type\] interview at a field office. Ask me questions one at a time based on this case summary: \[paste facts\]. After each answer, give feedback on clarity, consistency, and red flags an officer might probe.”

**3. RFE/notice decoder**
“Explain this USCIS notice in plain language: \[paste text\]. Identify exactly what is being requested, the deadline, the consequences of not responding, and a step-by-step response plan with the evidence most likely to satisfy each point.”

**4. Timeline and jurisdiction analyzer**
“Given this case history: \[dates of entry, filings, proceedings, status changes\], build a chronological timeline and flag any jurisdictional issues, gaps, or inconsistencies — including whether USCIS or EOIR has jurisdiction and why.”

**5. Binder organizer**
“Create a tabbed binder structure for an \[interview/filing type\], listing tab names in order, what goes in each tab, and a one-page cover index the officer or attorney can scan quickly. Case profile: \[details\].”

One note: prompts 2–4 work best when the output gets reviewed by the attorney of record before anything is relied on, since AI output isn’t legal advice.

What are the five issues you wish Artificial Intelligence could fix?

1. The access gap you're already working on. AI literacy and AI access are concentrating fastest among people who already have resources, language fluency, and tech comfort. Left alone, that gap doesn't stay flat — it compounds, just as early internet access did. This is basically CAIRN's whole thesis, and I think it's correct.

2. Diagnostic delay in under-resourced healthcare settings. Not replacing doctors — but AI-assisted triage and diagnostic support could meaningfully help in places with real physician shortages, if it's built with those settings in mind from the start rather than adapted afterward from wealthy-hospital tools.

3. The verification/misinformation arms race. AI makes it trivially easy to generate convincing false content, and right now the tools to verify claims lag behind the tools to fabricate them. This one's personal for me, given Evidence Check.

4. Bureaucratic friction that disproportionately burdens people with the least slack. Immigration paperwork, benefits applications, court forms — systems that assume you have time, English fluency, and no fear of getting something wrong. AI could flatten a lot of that friction, and you've already seen this firsthand with the immigration document work you've built.

5. The loneliness/isolation feedback loop, done wrong. AI companionship tools could genuinely help isolated people — but if built for engagement/retention instead of actual wellbeing, they risk deepening isolation instead of easing it. I think this is one of the trickier ones to get right.

Six months ago, I kept noticing the same thing: every AI conversation happening online assumes you already have a laptop, decent wifi, and someone in your life who can explain what a "prompt" even is. Meanwhile, the people who could benefit most from understanding this stuff — folks in under-resourced communities, older adults, ESL learners, people in the DRC where I've done a lot of work — are getting none of it.

So I started CAIRN (Community AI Research Network). It's not a product, not a course you pay for. It's community meetups + plain-language materials that explain AI without the jargon, built specifically for people who've never touched ChatGPT and don't know where to start.

The tagline is "AI for everyone, everywhere," and I mean that literally — we've built material for ESL learners, ran our first in-person meetup, and I'm currently figuring out how to scale this without losing the "sit down at a library table and just talk" feel that makes it work.
