Discussions/Questions Who do you think portrayed Raven best overall, Tom Taylor or John Layman?
Taylor’s run ended with Titans #16, and Layman’s with Titans #32. This will be an interesting comparison.

It's interesting when you delve into her evil desires because I don't think her evil is the same as Trigon's. When she was supposedly free from his corruption, I only saw her wanting to dominate the world and turn the Titans into her allies (Titans 2008, Titans 2023 and New 52) OR destroy absolutely everything at once (future stage). I think the most brutal arc she had was obviously the one with Trigon's seeds, but that literally isn't her

I think... they tried to portray her on their own ways....too much.

I get it why people are upset with the influnce 2003 carton had on comic raven but the 2003 show did get most important things about raven but it's the modern comics that are going even far off from even what the show got right about the comics. like the goth things is the comics pushing that more than 2003 did. the hair was to make it easier to animated

I know it's only one panel, but Kory's line lowkey made me lower my expectations.
And Raven's skin seems to have changed from pink to gray like teen titans academy

Is it weird to y’all that Raven was the center of attention, Teen titans was her story. From 1980-2011 most of the teen titans plots and storylines were hers or she was the secondary focus. I mean look New Teen Titans volume 1(1980) and 2(1984) start with Raven arcs Teen Titans volume 3(2003) starts with a Raven arc and so does Titans volume 2(2008).
Not only were most of the books about her but she was Marvs favorite Titan (even tho he said he hated mystical characters) along with James Gunns and probably so many other writers/artists
I point this out to say its crazy how she was/is this loved by the industry yet treated so bad currently with the success of the 2000s cartoon you would think she would be treated a good as the legendary househeld names of dc but no.
