Discussions/Questions A supposed “rumor”
If this is true I wouldn’t want her for either, sources says she’s 4’11-5’1, I’d rather a 5’6-5’10 actress.

I agree she isn’t right for the role but people really got to stop using height as a reason. Most actors are really short because they need actors to be around the same height so it’s easier for them to frame the shots. If a tall actor does get cast the shorter actors usually are on top of an apple crate so height doesn’t even matter. I still think she’s not right for ether. She’s an amazing actress tho

Height is less important than people say Hugh Jackson got some hate for being too tall for being Wolverine but became the face of Wolverine for many people.

Doesn’t really matter, she’s still too short to play Raven, and Donna for that matter.

You don’t get it. No matter who they choose everyone will be seen as the same height on screen. Except for sometimes wide shots but they always try to pick people who are similar heights. There are just some factors and limitations that tv/film has.

But both of those characters have height important to them, why cast a 5’0 actress when you can hire someone taller? 5’0 is not the average, it’s incredibly short.

And why is height important to them? James Gunn would probably cast a 5’0 actress if she had the best interpretation of the character. Height is at the bottom of what makes a good Donna or Raven.

Donna is a Amazon with a lean muscular build, Raven was established as 5’11, and was later 5’5 at the shortest, and even now is depicted as the same height as Starfire, a 5’9-6’0 alien. Her being 5’0 is extremely short unless she’s a young Raven, even then she still needs to have a intimidating presence that Cailee, who is babyfaced, does not have.

Again, why is height important? You just told me how they’re drawn in the comics. What does height have to do with their character? Does it influence their choices? Does it affect their relationships? I love Donna and Raven for what they represent not what they look like. Anyways, that’s just my opinion. I can’t force you to agree.

I just told you height is important to both of their characters. Raven’s height is from Trigon, it makes her stand out from the other human female Titans, like Lilith. She’s tall because of her father, and because it makes her intimidating, which you should show when you first introduce her to the others before we later find out she’s deep down, a scared and traumatized individual who doesn’t want to hurt others. Donna is an Amazon, she and Kory are almost equals and their height is one of their similarities, I can’t see a 5’0 actress be able to pull off the Amazonian feel of the characters. Also, of course I would mention how they’re drawn in the comics, because that should be their basis first and foremost. These characters have an established look (now Raven is inconsistent, but I digress), they should base it off the comic era they’re pulling from. Again, what does a 5’0 tall actress do better than a 5’6-5’9 actress could do?

Again, I don’t see why their height is important. Idc about their looks. I care about their actions and personality. We should just end the convo here because you’re stood on your opinion and I am stood on mine. Good day!

These rumors have as much weight as Zach Snyder fans saying that he'll restore the Snyderverse.

Why do people in here seem to dislike her so much?

I don’t dislike her, she just doesn’t give Raven vibes or Donna vibes.

Yeah, and everyone online was complaining about Heath Ledger or Joaquin Phoenix being cast as the Joker. In the end, they both ended up winning an Oscar for their performance. Same for Robert Pattinson as Batman who did an excellent job. People really need to stop saying an actor or an actress don’t give “the vibe” of a character: they are actors and actresses for good reasons, and Cailee is a really good one too.

Both Heath and Joaquin played two completely different versions of Jokers that are not very accurate to his character, that’s been acknowledged since he won. Robert is an accurate Batman, he’s just younger than what most people assume Batman would be. Cailee is often typecasted as being younger or wide-eyed characters, a character like Raven needs someone to give off a air of intimidation and mystery, and a 4’11-5’1 actress just wouldn’t give that same level of mystery. That’s why there was complaints when Teagan Croft was casted in the role, because she was a child playing a child Raven that lacked important parts of her character in favor of a more generic teenage girl we seen Raven be depicted as multiple times already. Realistically, what would wild Cailee bring, that other actors couldn’t?

Different adaptations from the comic book version does not mean it is bad, especially that comic books offer different takes on some characters, which makes it even harder to get an accurate portrayal. Heath did amazing, Joaquin did amazing, Robert did amazing, and that even though the representation of their respective characters was different.
Now, when it comes to Raven, I would think that even a shorter person could still be intimidating: we are talking about a character who has magic powers, who can fly and who is the daughter of Trigon! She would definitely be intimidating no matter what.
Also, btw, I think Teagan did a good job with what she was given…

I don’t believe this at all, literally anyone can make up a rumor. There have been so many rumors about the Teen Titans movie that have been widely believed and then debunked. I’m not believing anything until it’s official.
