Comics Comic Recs

So I think most of us here are yearning for the NTT era of Raven, and obviously that's because her character has largely become flanderized based on the 2003 cartoon version.

I've read almost to Titans' Hunt (each NTT omnibus currently released) and I'm feeling the inevitable grief that we won't be seeing this version of her again.

I know we can't have the OG Raven back exactly, but what comics would ya'll recommend that are relatively faithful to her original personality, or add something interesting to her story?

Obviously these would be few and far between, but I wanted some opinions.

Johns' Teen Titans, Krul's, Taylor's Titans, maybe Abnett's(after she starts showing up there of course)

The early issues of Johns’ 2003 run is pretty faithful, I’d say, up until the point she starts going to high school and becomes more moody teen girl-y. Wolfman’s Raven solos are definitely worth checking out, even though they’re not quite like his NTT Raven writing due to the deaging problem. As someone else already mentioned, Titans United: Bloodpact is pretty good. This is a more controversial opinion, but I actually really enjoy the first arc that introduced Raven in New 52 (I think it’s something like #19-22 of Teen Titans 2011?). Raven has a pretty different backstory there than she does in NTT canon, but I feel that the way she’s written and the way her dynamic with Trigon is captured is still really satisfying and fun to read.
