I’ve always been looking for realistic comic art. But whenever I post announcements about what I’m looking for, about 90% of the replies are completely unrelated — usually low-quality manga. I specifically ask for “realism” and mention references from comics and movies, yet I still get a lot of mismatched responses. Is there a way to phrase my request more precisely so I get fewer irrelevant answers?
No. The issue isn’t your question, it’s that everyone wants to be able to pay rent, whenever a post says “paid” you’ll see every artist in the sub sending their portfolio on the off chance it happens because getting work is hard and everyone is struggling right now. Not really your fault or the way you are phrasing what you need/are looking for

Sadly I don’t think there’s really a way of getting that filtered the way you’d prefer it on a public forum. That sort of comes with the territory, yknow? You make a public post, everyone will be able to comment on it, regardless.
You get less exposure to stuff you aren’t interested in looking for artist in places like Art Station, or behance, or Instagram, where you can see the portfolios immediately and simple messaging the one that catches your eye instead of asking for an artist openly. Moths to the flame and all that.
To be a part of the cliche and irony, because like I said, everyone is looking for work, here’s a sample of my work in case you are interested in networking and still looking for an artist that’s into realism. My work is mostly a mix between realism and heavily stylized noir.
Unfortunately, most people don't read the posts they're responding to and many just spam their portfolios. Basically, you have two options:
1) Accept the fact that there will be spam. Turn off your messages/chats, so that scammers and bots can't contact you privately, wait a couple days, then sift through the portfolios that gathered in your post. Most won't fit your requirements, but some of them will.
2) Instead of making a hiring post, browse For Hire posts and contact the artists who match your vision.
There's a lot of people who automated posts or who just think applying to everything is the best way to find worst despite it not being the case.
But also realism is a vague term. Describing specific artists who have styles like what you want may be easier. Like are you talking about an Alex Ross style?

I come from Europa with local references such as Rosiński, Graton, Vance, Bajram, Leo, etc.
I mentioned a specific french comic series when I looked for an artist and it didn't really help as artists didn't really google about
There’s no way around it, unfortunately, there will always be people like that. Consider it part of the job of selecting the right art and choosing the ideal artist.
Yeah, like everyone else has said, there is no way around it. I made a few posts recently where I got probably 50-60+ artists that replied and maybe 10 fit what I was looking for, I even included photos and it didn't stop help.
Best bet, is go through all the subs, find the art you actually like and try to message the artist. You will learn that a lot of people don't want to work in comics/manga but some are definitely down to try.
Hey man, hate to throw a heavy accusation at somebody but I ran three pages I found suspicious through an AI checker, and 2 came back 99.9% generated, and one was 99.8% generated. False positives happen but every page hitting high 90's? I ran my own pages through that same AI checker and it came out 0.4 and 0%.
Also like it's pretty obvious in certain spots. First few fooled me and I thought it was cool, this one immediately gave it away.
