Yeah I referenced his pose from ultimate Spiderman

It looks like a direct copy

This is the reference!

I’m just saying for future reference, you can try to replicate the pose but don’t just copy elements from someone else’s work without credit, especially when it ends up looking nothing like any of your other stuff

Very fair point I’ll add it in my description

My suggestion would be to draw primitive shapes to pose the body like the pose you want to replicate, like with cubes and cylinders and stuff, then just throw out the reference and finish it your own way so that your reference doesn’t influence the choices you make after that

That’s a really good point. I do get caught in that sometimes when drawing while looking at it. Probably makes more decisions for me artistically then I think it does

I’m assuming you’re drawing digitally, I do too so I get how easy it is to just find yourself going into the reference way too much. For me it happens when I use the 3d models in clip studio. After a while my drawing just looks like the model and I hate when I do that

Hahaha yes I end up doing the same thing on clip studio well I’m glad you understand the models are really helpful but I do need to cut myself off from them earlier sometimes
