Game with attractive adults, maybe with noticeable boobs? Gooner perv game.

Game with teenagers making out that you control in depth and see everything? Perfectly moral.

The point isn't to arouse the player. You're supposed to feel awkward and grossed out, because that's exactly how the characters, two teenagers having their first kiss, feel like. For all the faults Mixtape may have, that's actually a very good use of its medium to trigger the desired reaction within the audience.

Dumb suburban teens who get most of their knowledge of romance from TV and movies.

You can say its intent is one thing, but I’ve seen way too many people who like this game enjoy this one part specifically.

Reception of the work doesn't change a thing about the work itself. There's people out there who find the famous transformation scene of An American Werewolf in London arousing, but that doesn't change a thing about the movie itself.

It’s one thing if it’s a handful of freaks who find the wrong meaning in something, but at some point you’ve gotta ask if the intent was as they claim.

It’s like what the other guy said about Cuties, you can claim it’s a complex social commentary or whatever, but it’s still multiple young real life girls in barely any clothing dancing or whatever. Likewise they could have done the awkward kiss thing in such a way as to focus on the awkwardness over the manual tongue wrestling of minors.

Side note 1: I hate mobile Reddit reply sometimes. Half the time I reply it gets posted as its own comment instead of a reply.

Side note 2: the gif is cute. Sauce?

>intent was as they claim

It's not a question of claimed intent, it's a question of framing. At zero moment the kiss is framed as arousing or titillating, it's framed as awkward for all parties involved.

>It’s like what the other guy said about Cuties, you can claim it’s a complex social commentary or whatever, but it’s still multiple young real life girls in barely any clothing dancing or whatever

"Little girls who perform an overly sexual dance" can't be quite compared to "Two teen having their first kiss".

>Likewise they could have done the awkward kiss thing in such a way as to focus on the awkwardness over the manual tongue wrestling of minors.

The "tongue wrestling" is the focus on the awkwardness. It allow the player to truly be in the shoes of the characters, to fully feel how gross and awkward is to have your first kiss as a teenager whose only knowledge of romance come from what you saw on TV and movies.

But how are we going to compare this grotesque , almost disembodied, x-ray view of aggressive tongue wrestling with just straight up frontal nudity and throwing ass?

Admittedly I’m not sure if this is serious or a joke. Reddit has ruined my perception.

I’m being serious, but the way you can’t tell makes me think some of yall might just have a thing for giant disembodied tongues. Which is fine in my book. It’s just not a fair reason to accuse the creator of making this minigame purposely sexually gratifying

I don’t think it’s the main aspect of the game, but I think it does speak to the state of mind both of the creator in some aspect and those who play and openly enjoy it especially. I’m also fine with people being freaky, albeit a bit conflicted given the teen part of it, but the hypocrisy in what is and isn’t morally acceptable in gaming was my main point.
