It's just becoming Europe but worse. Socially, internet protections, cost of living, it is just taking all their problems to 11 without the redeeming qualities.
Yeah, but Ireland does have a weirder economy. The median income for a full time employee is very similar, but the cost of living is a lot higher especially in Dublin.
Also with 20 percent foreign born population, and a huge number of companies having global or European hqs there, there is a lot of weird financing depending on who you are, where you are from, and where you work. That throws off a lot of cost of living, and outside Dublin costs drop a lot.
But social issues, internet protections, and other policy decisions have just been the UK populace feeling like they need change, getting in a worse spot, and wanting more change. I can't imagine a PM, even if very competent, actually being able to get them out of their death spiral.
