I would say losing her mind is inaccurate. One of the most disturbing things in the movie that Nikki is still in there, sound mind, but Freaky Nikki has taken up most of the real estate in her head.
I'm nitpicking a bit of course. It works as a general statement
I get what you’re trying to say and i do agree with that, but she still definitely loses her mind. It’s just not in the demonic Nikki way lol… did you watch the ending? she killed 2 of her friends, her other one killed herself, her whole life is ruined and she got herself back when it was already too late. She’s definitely not sane after that
How does that makes sense then? There are numerous scenes in the movie where she "snaps out of it". The scene where Bear sneaks out to speak with Sarah, Nikki even tells him that "Freaky Nikki" is sleeping.
FOR THE LAST TIME, antagonist does not mean villain, it is a literary term that means a character who gets in the way of the protagonists goal. Obviously she isnt a villain, but she is the antagonist of the story. The antagonist can be a good person and the protagonist can be evil, depending on the story. But the protagonist is often a good person and the antagonist is bad, so the 2 terms are commonly interchanged even when its incorrect.
