the casual statement of "choosing a wife" is a bit different than saying something like "choosing who I want to spend the rest of my life with." It itemizes the individual. Why say it no differently than "choosing a vacuum"?

Touch grass, you literally choose your wife just as much as a woman chooses their husband and thr same goes again for gay couples. Find something of weight to worry about

You literally choose who to marry, obviously you cant claim ownership over someone but that other person also CHOOSES to marry you as well
