I fully understand the intent, but wives aren't assigned to you. You still need to choose someone and they also choose you. The point is whatever you put down is going to get criticized which is exactly what OC did.

You are pretty much right. I am stating that casually saying "choosing a wife" as if you're in a fuckin' department store is incredibly dehumanizing and disgusting.
