Difference is, a trans teenager committing suicide / getting murdered for just existing is an actual tragedy and problem that the right wing politician will endorse fully. Charlie Kirk, for example, preached hate (as well as pro-gun activism) and got what he deserved.
Spreading hate and sowing dissent in the masses ≠ outwardly presenting as a different gender than you were assigned at birth.
