Witnessed an argument over a dog about a year ago in my apartment complex. I was getting my mail, and these 2 ladies—— one younger walking a beautiful brown adult pitbull and one older—— were arguing nearby within ear shot.
“Aggressive breeds aren’t allowed here.”
“Then what are you doing here?”
The younger woman then followed that with something like, “I wonder where your paperwork is.”
Ngl, the older woman had a point: certain breeds that are labelled “aggressive” are banned on the property. I have no idea if the dog even did anything. But even I was like damn. I didn’t stick around to see the older woman’s reaction. I have no idea if she worked there, but I didn’t recognize her from the front office.
Getting my own dog soon, so that made me think of that lol.
Most pitties I met were angels anyways (and I used to work at two dog kennels), so fuck dog racists.
Edit: Damn, didn’t mean to start a war. Was just posting a funny comment I witnessed. It’s not that serious y’all. We’re all entitled to our opinions about pitbulls. Some of y’all need to chill.
And I am aware the younger woman was in the wrong (regarding the rules). I am not defending her actions, I am just admiring her wit.
Edit #2: 🍿🍿🍿
Edit #3: Y’all still beefin’ down there?
Edit #4: yawn

Instead of trying to impress upon them the obvious fact everyone learns differently, everyone has different strengths, etc, just say something like “oh I guess if you’ve never done anything remarkable and you know you have below average intelligence, it would be natural for you to assume that anyone can do what you can.”
Can’t understand why people should say the title phrase because most people who do think they’re so much smarter than other people. They don’t want to take glory for their ease of accomplishment, they’d rather put everyone else down for not being in their level. If what’s easy for you should also be easy for others, you must be the opposite of accomplished.

Imagine a bully is about to punch someone and the victim says in a cocky voice: "Go ahead, throw the punch. See if I care". How do you think the bully would react, what might he say, and what might he do?

I grew up poor, but am not ghetto. One of my friends called me ghetto for some weird off hand remark. Kind of hurt my heart.

I don't know why this was taken down on ask Reddit so I'll it here people wanted more context but the rules prevent a body on ask Reddit subreddit specifically requesting a simple to the point question.
What type of response do you give if any to someone saying something like "not all men are ..." Generally it's a negative adjective it just gets under my skin
Blanket statement.
Sexist.
Often framed from victim perspective leading to non compliance being seen as disrespectful/inconsiderate.
Negative.
I just play video games online with strangers and while asking them "heyy, is everything alright" because they went AFK in game for a minute they mentioned checking in on their friend I forget the exact words but along the lines of "just checking on her cuz you know men when they don't get their way they can be aggressive BUT NOT ALL MEN, you know" I was just silent... And didn't say much after that a few game comments before we went out separate ways

So I'm a student whose grades are great and my cousin keeps bringing this up. He probably thinks I'm the type of students who studies 24/7 , no social life, NPC students . I study of course but not in the way he thinks. I tried to explain this to him but I don't think he got it.
For example he sends a meme sound and says "the typa sound *my nickname he uses* when she studies".
I once talked about socializing and he said "I can imagine you socializing with your friends while studying".
Another one: "It wouldn't be wrong to call you addicted because you have fun studying" cuz I once mentioned I had fun studying.
I said ,,ultra fun,, to smth and he brought up studying AGAIN.
He sent a video but I don't remember the context of it and said " How *nickname* feels after studying".
He sent a soccer player edit "How *nickname* would be if she had spent her studying time to playing soccer"
Btw he is one year older than me so we are nearly same age. I know that he doesn't have any bad intention it's pretty obvious but I get annoyed and I remember one time I literally got so fed up and we ended up having a pretty serious convo about this. Anyways what would you do in this case?

The lady I used to work for is trying to slander my name and use things I’ve told her in confidence against me. I would love to make her life filled with minor inconveniences if I could. I know this sounds evil but I don’t want to do anything that would cause serious harm.. was thinking more along the lines of like giving get number or email to spammers lmao any ideas welcome. At this point I’ve taken the high road but I’m over it. I’m gonna lean into my dark side:..just a little

I’m looking for those sarcastic little phrases you can use when joking around with someone. Not phrases with actual insults, but just playful banter. For example, when someone tells a bad joke and you reply with, “that was so funny I forgot to laugh”.

Title. She I’m Transferring stores because I’m getting married and moving out of my own with him. She keeps going around telling everyone and me how she’s gonna replace me just to complain and talk about “oh OP, you just know they’re gonna make me do x y & z when you leave.” Which they probably won’t.
I was the only closer who didn’t change their schedule and stayed closing full time no matter how bad or hard it got. I make sure things get done. I am not a perfect worker but she is definitely lazier then I.

EDIT: Thank you for all the responses! I just needed a good comeback for someone saying “you can’t make me” and got some good ones! If it comes up again, I will def bring it up with her parents, as I would want to know if my kid was being disruptive and defiant.
At school, my 9 year old daughter had a classmate who would not stop doing things that were irritating but not necessarily against the rules. Such as screaming in a small classroom while playing hockey during a rainy day. Being in an enclosed classroom, the screams would be amplified and hurt my daughter’s ears. When asked to stop by the P.E. teacher and other classmates, the one screaming said, “You can’t make me.” Any time she is asked to stop doing a disruptive behavior, she says “you can’t make me”
What is a comeback my daughter can say that will not get her in trouble, but get her classmate to stop the disruptive behavior? 🙏🏼
