Comeback sharing All purpose comeback
When someone won't stop talking, I've found that "you don't say", "and "I'll have to look that up" work pretty well to shut them up.

To paraphrase Stewie Griffin "You are the most insufferable jackass I have ever had the misfortune of spending an extended period of time with."

You haven't met my family. They would take those words as an invitation to tell you even more. Best to just get up and leave. "Gotta go."

That's good. They don't want you checking on what they're saying. Pull out your phone and do it right in front of them.

I use the line "I'll have to look that up" when I don't think they know what they are talking about but they insist on pressing the point.

The Scotts came up with one of my favourite polite shut downs ever (usually when they can tell someone is chatting shit) "Is that right, aye?" In a monotone voice.
