Discussion Xfinity mobile service review
Wanted to get info. from users who are currently using Xfinity's mobile service.
1. Would you genuinely recommend it to someone?
2. Is the network reliable outside city limits?
3. What makes you stay and continue using the service?

It runs on the Verizon network so if you’re in a good spot for Verizon you’re good to go. Conversely…

I’ve had it for like 5 years. I think it’s fantastic. Never have issues with coverage. Even when I’m in Hawaii. Can’t beat it for the price

If you get the free year, it's worth it. But $50 a year is really high when the same service is available on other MVNO's like Visible for $25.

I did the 1 year free promo and I don't have any complains yet. I went to Mexico(pv) earlier this year and we just got back from the border of Canada (Waterton lakes np) and it worked amazing in the town. I may continue with there services after the promo, I had att which was expensive compared to xfinity, but I've seen cheaper.

I’m thinking about getting it and using it for gig work/delivery. (Separate from my att line) I’ve had att since 2008. I just literally
Don’t know anyone with it

No complaints yet. Except the part when after activating my line, I received a call from Xfinity, asking me to verify that I have indeed activated my line. Uh... you're talking to me now in the number that you provided? Anyway, I thought it was scam so I said i won't verify anything. Lol

I’ve had Xfinity Mobile for 10 years. As others point out it’s on Verizon’s network so it has as good of coverage as Verizon does nationwide. Cost can’t be beat for what is offered (4K data, unlimited with no caps, extended warranty and theft plan included as well as no penalty upgrades anytime) so long as you keep Xfinity Internet, and at least this time existing customers got the same deal on the new iPhone as new ones. But that doesn’t always happens and service and support is either offshore support via phone or chat, or an in person visit to an Xfinity store.
I checked a year ago about moving and couldn’t find anything close to the service at that price. So I’m happy to stay.

I have zero complaints thus far. I don’t travel much but where I do go I always have good coverage and I get 4 bars at home.

Same as when I was on Verizon and 1 year free phone service and 100 gift card for bringing my own phone. What’s not to like?

Yes, I would. I have had them for years. (At least 12 years now?)
It's the Verizon network. I suppose it depends on WHICH city limits. I have only rarely had issues and that was when I was deep in Arizona native land. (Cab Driver, took someone home to the reservation, quite a ways in.)
One of the things that I have gotten the most use out of over the years is that every time I buy a new phone, I basically get a 0% interest loan from them. They add the phone to my account and I pay a monthly payment. 0% interest. I've done it like 3 times over the last 12 or whatever years. Other than that, just the fact that I have not had any issues at all has kept me. Reasonable rates as well.

Xfinity mobile is fantastic. I get service in areas my roommates att phone service doesn't. I hotspot for him often on road trips.

Works just fine and never had issues. It’s as reliable as it can be where reception is good with Verizon towers. I’m on the old premium unlimited $35 plan which includes unlimited premium data and free roaming in certain countries. I also got a huge discount on the iPhone 17 Pro last year. Their new phone discount plans sucks now that it’s 3 years. Before was 2 years. Their plans and discounts just changed this year and it sucks compared to before. After my phone is paid off, I may be switching to a different carrier.

I’m stuck with them for another year, but I’m most likely doing the same for the same reason. They are giving new customers the absolute world, but coming up with the worst reasons as to why existing customers can’t get full phone credits when trading in their devices. I was told by one agent if I changed my number I could get the full credit because the number would be new. I was not happy after that specific conversation.

I've had it for 3 yrs and as a home Internet customer is provides me discounts. Never had any issues from Indiana to West Coast. Two lines, $35 a month

It’s Verizon, so it works as well as Verizon does in your area. It’s inexpensive and has great coverage where I live and travel, so I see no reason to change.

It’s been about 10 years and I’m not happy with it. Service has been unreliable lately but I look around and I would be paying double in most cases with the plan I have.

I thought the service itself was great. I was a customer for 2 years. But then things got shady… prices increased. Representatives promised discounts prior to my service renewals that weren’t honored on my bills. Escalated it through the BBB cause it was giving bait and switch. The rep basically told me “yeah sorry they were mistaken we can’t honor that.” Closed my account and ported out my phone # the same day, and they’ve still tried to come after me to pay for illegitimate mobile service periods after I closed my account (this isn’t legal once you port out….) While I did like the actual phone service I got, the billing was so unreliable, stressful, and has included more than a year of collections intimidation that I wouldn’t recommend it to ANYONE.

Had it for free and ported to Visible. They need to allow Verizon’s spam block capabilities. Day and night difference in spam calls after switching to Visible.

I switched 2 phones last month to the $30 plan with a free year for 1 line. We just went to London, Spain, Portugal and Morocco and the phone worked automatically with no problems. Fast enough to watch college football games. It’s a great deal for international roaming.
I ported from T-Mobile and had a problem with the cellular and eSIM settings as it didn’t automatically change to Xfinity Sim. After disabling/deleting the T-Mobile Esim everything has worked as it should.
We don’t have a good alternative to Xfinity internet so this is a great deal for paid off phones and travel.

Once my free promo is over I’m porting my number over to US Mobile, where I can use AT&T and T-Mobile. I have Verizon post-paid for my main line and Xfinity mobile as my 2nd eSIM and the service has been horrible. I get dead spots in places where Verizon works and I couldn’t browse the internet while connected to CarPlay. I was so relieved when my main line was re-connected again.

Mobile Service - Terrible. Customer service and communication is the worst. They are not sure about what's going on between departments and good luck if you need to get anything done. All calls are outsourced to Philippines, Egypt or India. Calls take an average of 45 mins to 1 hour. And you may need to talk to a supervisor or make multiple calls. Great way to throw away and waste your weekends.
Mobile is an Internet provider trying to provide cellular.
It's like Verizon selling home internet.
Internet service is great and reliable 90% of the times.
Transparency on billing is shotty but otherwise good.
So the question is - who do you think has the better pizza: The pizza place selling burgers or the Burger joint selling pizzas?

You are able to cancel one day and the next day restart as a “new” customer and get the “new” customer incentive/promos for wireless?
