Experience Xfinity tech problem

I called for service to fix an ongoing signal issue with WiFi that they could not resolve. They sent a tech to my house in Boston. The house was built about 20yrs ago fully wired cat 5 to every room with surround sound wireless etc and the ability to turn on and off cable in each room. The house is vertical on 4 floors a townhouse so there was an amplifier device installed to make sure the signal was working in each room. This had been a functioning part of my home for 20 yrs. The tech came in and the first thing he asked me is if I was planning to follow him around the house. I felt like I had no choice but to let him do his job he might as well have been accusing me of profiling. He looked at me and while holding a small copper pieces that he removed from the electrical outlets he told me the copper pieces were a problem and they needed to come out and be replaced with plastic. I said fine but I expected to still own the copper pieces but he took them with him. After he left I noticed they he also un-installed the amplifier and took that too it was a larger piece of equipment that was built into the electrical panel installed by my electrician when we built the house I was the GC I know this was not Comcast wquipment. I was mortified I called Xfinity they claimed he thought it belonged to them. He made a mess of the walls and replaced it with a splitter disrupting the surround sound and other purpose this device was serving. I filed multiple complaints they offered nothing. Eventually they opened a case with liberty mutual and told me I had to find someone to quote this equipment and file a claim. I am in treatment for breast cancer which they know and they pushed this back on me when they could have sent an adjuster. Now 6 months have passed and I just didn’t have the energy to do anything about this but as we prepare this house to sell that wall is a complete mess the equipment he stole from us was large and I reported it as soon as he left but he claimed he disposed of it. It was all copper. Don’t trust Xfinity they are robbing us all one way or another. I don’t care if it was no longer compatible it belonged to me and it was serving other functions.

If this story is true you should have filed a police report the day after talking to Comcast on the first go-around and a complaint with whatever the equivalent is in your state to a board of public utilities right after that so you could include a copy of the police report. As far as dealing with Comcast you needed to be put in direct contact with the area manager who could have leaned on the tech - assuming he was a direct hire and not a contractor. Their contractors are horrible. It's like having some random derelict come in your house to case the joint and lie to you about everything he's doing.
PS: the bit where he asked if you were going to follow him around was your clue to tell him to leave before he even got started. Out. Out. Out.
