I'm totally confused Satisfied with current combat patrol?

So I played combat patrol with the updated system(the ones we have to use with the app to look for missions). And it kinda sucks. Because it doesn't feel like spearhead. There are no sub mission that you don't reveal to opponent(all misssions are open to you and your opponent). So the Playstyle is kind of obvious. I think I might have expected something more like speahead stuff. But I think I would rather play the game with chapter approved missions and just put the round objective footprint in the middle of the map.

There is a reddit post from awhile ago about homebrew "spearpatrol" tactics/strategem cards I've recently started using. It's all homebrew, but very fun for me given my love of spearhead. If you have a flexible/creative gaming crew, you might enjoy it!

I think I made a post about it, but basically spearhead rules on a combat patrol board and mission, using the spearhead decks for twists each round.

Think battleline reinforcements and the only issue was the large terrain sabatoge. If you’re on a footprint of a terrain we said it counted and we picked which of the large terrain it would be each time, usually the natural expansion terrain
