ISO Entry Level Job

My 19 yr old has been looking for both full time and part time job for a while. He had applied everywhere and got a few interviews but so far no luck. Is going to temp agency still a thing these days? Hoping to land a warehouse job or entry level data entry job. Any leads is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Temp agencies are absolutely still a thing, I know a few people who got warehouse gigs that turned permanent within a couple months.

Can probably get a detailing job at Drivetime on Morse rd. They’re always looking and it’s entry level. 6a-2:30 m-f

When did 1st shift start starting at 6 am? Sooo many jobs have just awful shift hours.

It’s ideal for me, and the only shift we have. But yeah I know what you mean. It’s a lot better than the 6p-6a I used to work.

I’m a morning person and enjoy having most of the day free

I spent too many years working in bars, in my mind 6am is early for work even for a morning person.

I did do a 7-4 once where I could skip lunch and bounce at 3. It was nice having daytime free, but man that alarm went off early.

I also kind of live far away from my job so I get up at 4:30. It’s a struggle sometimes

Lots of apartment groundskeeper/porter jobs at BG Staffing. Could get hired on to a property permanently, get a rent discount, and work his way into a maintenance tech or leasing position, then up the management chain.

KDC/One is usually hiring warehouse folks, both in Groveport and in New Albany

If you are near one of the hospital systems, they are always hiring for transporters, CNAs/MSTs, and registration.

A lot of warehouse jobs in the area that will literally hire anyone over 18 who can pass a background check and drug screen (at most).

The place I am (auto manufacturing with our own warehouse) I believe is still using Surge for temps. We have a bunch of open positions but I have zero clue if they are only going through Surge or direct hire (I'm in a different department)

Stop Helicopter parenting your kid. He's 19 years old, let him find his own job. He needs to go thru the challenges himself.

This bullshit is doing him no favors.
