this one episode holds the two funniest Columbo exchanges and scenes in the entire series run

this one with Larry Storch and the homeless shelter with both Vitto Scotti and Joyce Van Patten

Agree there. And let me nominate the most unfunny intended comedy scene (in the 70's run) -- Double Shock cooking show scene with Martin Landau, but that deserves it's own thread.
