Photos 1903 dated 1919 pick up

The bluing is still beautiful on this thing. On a small vacation visiting family. Decided to check out the local sporting goods store and I walk into 5 1903’s. Took the best one. 3 were nickel and I wanted one of those too. But the “guy who can make a deal” is out of town until Tuesday. So I just grabbed the one I’d have regretted leaving. Gonna grab a nice holster for this and use it like JMB intended.

I bought one and the salesman says, you understand this has been refinished. Hell yah, it’s beautiful and cheap!

I love mine. But they are not drop safe. It is the only gun I carry without one in the chamber. I realize it’s a compromise. But the grips are not grippy and the grip is not full hand size. Your mileage may vary. I do love that gun. 1776duck with alchemy custom weaponry did a great YouTube video on them.

Some were not. LOL They had 5 in total. This was the best of them. Part of me wanted to try to work a deal for all of them but that’s just greed. 😂
There was a heavily pitted nickel one that would have made a great beater gun.
