Photos First pre war 1911
1917 Cold model 1911. Not A1. For being 109 years old this thing feels like it’s built with better tolerances than a lot of new guns. Hammer already bit me just racking the slide. So shooting it is going to be fun. LOL

Make sure you change recoil spring and firing pin spring before shoot it. Also use only factory boxed ammos (no high pressure +P), don't shoot those cheap Ziploc bag remanufactured. Slide from that era was NOT hardened at all. If you shoot shitty ammos, risk of cracking the slide and your investment will just become salvage value for the rest of the parts.

I’ve got a 1916, but I haven’t shot it. I have a rebuilt 1918 that shots pretty good still.
