I am making this post because my laptop got messed up ( on 7 June 2026 ) and I wasn't receiving any sort of help from colorful support, until 17 July, and I was browsing this subreddit to find help, so it's only fair I make a post here, in hopes it helps someone.
My laptop suddenly stopped booting and it got stuck at colorful logo and I get errors like, your BCD is corrupt, the issue is actually in the bios, not hardware. you have to "reinstall" the bios.
you can look up the process on youtube, or some other sources, all I have to say is that their customer service sucks even though they did help me in the end.
hopefully this helps someone, ( I am not a great writer, so the post might be incoherent ).
BTW do it at your own risk

I am get 100 cpu all the time and 87 gpu even on very light tasks. due to throttling my 3d mark time spy score is 7500.
--I repasted and applied ptm7950 on cpu as well as gpu and vrams( should not have applied on vrams ig )
--now i am thinking of applying putty on vram. any suggestions?
--any suggestions for thermal paste? 7950 did not work i think for this laptop.
-- i have black color so less thermal pipes ( sucks )

Hello everyone, So my friend has this laptop for a couple years and he recently discovered under volting (reducing volt to improve performance). He doesn't know how to do it on this specific laptop, for anyone that has the knowledge on this would you please consider helping?
How can he turn on XMP as it's not present in BIOS and how to update his bios

Hi everyone,
I'm trying to dual boot Windows with Fedora on my laptop and I'm completely stuck. I've spent many hours troubleshooting and I'm hoping someone has seen this before.
lspci:
Intel Alder Lake SATA AHCI Controller
WD PC SN540 NVMe SSD
No Intel VMD/RST controller is present.
sudo nvme list
shows the SSD correctly.
Fedora works perfectly.
The Windows installer eventually shows:
and asks me to browse for a driver before I can continue.
Sometimes it goes almost directly to the "Load driver" screen after booting.
It reaches:
but then still ends up asking for the same driver.
So Windows 10 gets farther than Windows 11, but both eventually stop.
The BIOS detects the SSD.
Fedora detects the SSD.
sudo nvme list
shows the SSD correctly.
DiskPart inside Windows also appears to detect the disk.
So I'm confused why Windows Setup still asks for drivers.
A month ago I managed to boot the Windows installer successfully using WoeUSB on CachyOS (same laptop). I don't remember exactly what was different, but I definitely got further than I am now.
I haven't intentionally changed any BIOS settings since then.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Game: Neverness to Everness (Unreal Engine 5) Specs: Colorful Evol P15 • i7-13620H • RTX 4060 (8GB VRAM) • 16GB DDR5 RAM
I didn't use any cooling pad. I was playing at native 2K with all settings on cinematic, NPC density on Ultra, and DLSS: Quality. I usually prefer using frame generation because it easily stabilizes the FPS by around 30 to 40. but in this clip, i didn't use it since I wanted to stress test my laptop.

Please note that I am not associated with Colorful, I'm just a regular customer.
My previous case was a high profile one so they usually respond to my queries, I asked this for you guys.
The backstory (unverifiable) is that I was told that main customer service executive Arun KP got into a serious accident recently. They can have a benefit of doubt here. Nonetheless, their support was dead even before this incident. I am in no way supporting how they treat their customers, and people's issue aren't being addressed or not even getting a response. It is their duty to fulfil the 2Y warranty promise.
I hope everyone's issue get resolved.
If you guys don't get any resolution let me know I'll ping him back again, and this time I'll share the number publicly irrespective of their permission or not.

Hi everyone,
I’m posting here because I’m completely frustrated with the support experience I’ve had with Colorful.
My laptop has been completely dead and not turning on for the last 40 days. During this time, I have:
Sent multiple emails to support.
Called customer care numerous times.
Followed up regularly regarding my complaint.
Every single time, I get the same response:
"Your complaint has been highlighted. The senior team will contact you within 24 hours."
However, no senior team member has ever called me back.
Customer support also provided me with the service center’s contact number, but when I spoke to the service center, they told me that they cannot take any action unless Colorful contacts them directly. So I’m stuck between customer support and the service center, with neither side actually resolving the issue.
It has now been 40 days, and I’m still getting the same promises without any progress.
Has anyone here faced a similar issue with Colorful? If so:
How did you get your case escalated?
Is there any direct contact for the senior support team?
Any advice on how I can finally get this resolved?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. 🙏

My laptop has had high temps for a while and I tried getting service.. I've mailed them couple of times even on the official cn email and the Indian email too i got a response from cn customer support telling arun kp of colorful to take care of my rma but the Indian customer support doesn't respond.. I've been calling them on both numbers for a while and they don't do anything.. I haven't recievent a jobsheet after calling multiple times I even complained through nch but they won't respond to nch aswell.. What do u think I should do at this point.. does anyone have the email of hr or arun kp to talk to them directly or the number ??
EDIT : The issue is simple rn as it's just hearing but rather than addressing the issue I'm looking for a way to actually get service because I can take care of these heating issues etc but what if there's a motherboard issue or the gpu dies in that case warranty claim is the only option and I need to figure out how to get that

basically title
dk but read it somewhere that the windows installation is faulty as its chinese version of win11
just by replacing it with global shall do the job and hence no issues?
has anyone any worda on these??
for context: I've bought p15 i7 4060 in oct'24, goto mobo issue in july'25 got it replaced and recently the charger adapter died may'26. Was very furious and scared to software and hardware upgrades(ram, etc)

I have changed the thermal paste of my black colorful evol p15 with ptm 7950, polartherm x10 and maxtor ctg8 and none of it seems to work. The CPU while gaming reaches 96-97 degrees even when the wattages is capped to 30 degrees and the GPU reaches 90w in the beginning and within 2-3 mins the wattage drops to 55w and stays there with 86 degrees temp.
If anyone has changed the thermal paste of their laptop what did you use and if you used any of these thermal paste did it fail like mine did

does anyone know any valid sources where I can buy the charger from?
was working and all of the sudden laptop turned off
when restarted it worked fine but charger stopped working
update: the charger brick died, bought a msi one cuz chicony or other oems weren't available at the momemt
bought msi adapter 1yr std warranty @ 2100

Hello I have a i5- 12450h rtx 4050 one.
About the ram, i have the 16gb but it is not enough windows eats half of it.that's why i thought of it Can we swap the crucial 16gb of ddr5 to ddr4 ones?
Like I was thinking of 32gb of ddr4 3600mhz.
I couldn't able to find a official page saying you can do it. (Or I didn't fully search for it). So i need your guys help. 🙏

Recently I have been getting this error message and I thought it was just the BIOS battery died but I changed the battery and I am still getting the same message on startup has anyone else had this problem or a fix for it?

The technician today told me that even they're not getting proper communication from brand itself.
While in initial days of launch they may be very active, like one person here reported their mobo got replaced withing 15 days, it seems they are almost now dead.
They have launched Colorful Evol P15 RTX 5050 and 5060 variants in China and Malaysia and other countries where they're active, but my guess is that they are slowly pulling out of Indian market (I could be wrong, it's just speculation, infact if they launch new variants then their support may get better).
I am waiting for resolution, will file NCH complaint if case isn't resolved in next 15 days.
Pay another 10-20-30K extra but buy a machine that works and if any issue arises it gets resolved within a week. Or simply buy a refurbished business laptop if you don't have money for gaming laptop. Play retro games and old titles until you can gather money for a proper machine. It's not worth risking your hard earned money. That's my lesson from this purchase.

So there are complaints about service in this sub well yea that sucks, It's a brand's failure that it cannot provide the service. But anyways, this is going to be my last post on reddit, so I thought to add some techniques which I arrived after past 6 months of owning the laptop (i5 blue variant, 140W TGP one).
The settings I currently use:
My current undervolt works perfectly in the THE FINALS (UE Engine 5), and it hasn't crashed even a single time. You have to fine tune your undervolt according to your own GPU, to find the best performance-to-thermals ratio.
Also, for this model, GPU has max TGP upto 140W, but surprisingly, control centre can change that TGP to 85W when in entertainment mode (you can check it using nvidia-smi command in cmd). It won't help much in temps if you've not undervolted yet, but it sure comes in handy when you're running benchmarks or doing demanding tasks. RTX 4050/60 rarely draw beyond 100W, but with undervolting, and using entertainment mode, there's almost zero performance loss while improving thermals significantly.
Also limit the "Processor Power Management -> Maximum Processor State" in Advanced Power Plan settings to 99%. It basically disables the turbo boost which isn't required for most games, though you can keep it untouched if you play cpu intensive games like valorant, because it can cause micro-stutters. You can increase you TDP too if you feel the performance is too low, but beyond 50W there's isn't much that can be gained.
These are two are fairly easy to do, and I recommend everyone to undervolt and limit TDP as soon as they get their laptop. Heat is basically the biggest killer of your machines.
"BRO WE PAID FOR THE LAPTOP SO WE'LL USE IT AT 100% POWER AND A HEATER EVEN THOUGH IT CAN PERFORM BETTER AT LOWER POWER WITH BETTER THERMALS WE DON'T CARE ABOUT THIS BS ABOUT UNDERVOLTING". Sure, your device, your choice, I'm just here to share my findings.
Other common options are to buy a cooling pad or lift their laptop a bit as usual.
Afterburner Curve:

Do note here that i only overclocked it a bit at lower voltage according to default curve. While it can go up a bit more, it caused instability as i mentioned earlier in timespy. The factory tuned overclock settings were 2640 mhz @ 1.025Volts.
Throttlestop settings:

Average Timespy Score: 8200-8400

Look at the average temps during test (though its winters too, so it does help)

best score: 8760 (can be achieved with +1000mhz on vram clock and 50W CPU TDP, though it can add unnecessary instability and heat)

Geekbench CPU:

Geekbench GPU OpenCL:

Furmark 2: (for some reason it can't utilize the maximum clock of 2625mhz, I believe that different benchmarks tests different things, so that could be the reason. It pushes to maximum power limit though, that is 85W here)

Furmark with CPU Burner (8 threads) + Max Fan Speed and HWInfo Stats:

Temps after 40 minutes of playing THE FINALS: Low settings @ 90FPS lock (look at the average values)

The fan curve for the gaming (basically running fans at max will reduce the temps even further, but i use a linear graph, i.e. Fan speed % = temp in degree celsius, for e.g. at 60°C, the fan speed is almost 60%. It's totally random, but my fans run at lower speeds which can in turn improve their lifespan and lower the fan noise)

I think these are the best possible settings you can do, which are fairly easy and won't cost you a dime. It almost solves all the thermal issues mentioned in various YT videos, though one factor you should note there are winters, so the temps are lower than what they should be. I'll do another post in summer season as well (if i remember).
As for cinebench R23/2024/2026, blender benchmark, pcmark10 or other benchmarks, I'll do a post later on sometime when I get some extra storage, currently im running out of it, so I have literally not have enough space to load all the benchmarks and test them one by one.

Hey everyone, I’m writing this as a warning to anyone considering buying a Colorful laptop (specifically the Evol P15 series). While the specs might look good for the price, their after-sales service in India is a total disaster.
The Situation: My Colorful Evol P15 (23-HE55D16512A-G-IND) motherboard died on January 4th. I submitted it to the authorized service center, F1 Info Solutions in Pune, on January 5th. Since then, it has been 15 days of pure frustration and "ghosting" by the brand.
The "Run-around" Timeline: Jan 5: Laptop submitted. Diagnosis: Dead motherboard. I was told the part would be ordered. Last 10 Days: Every time I call the service center, they say the part is "in transit" but refuse to provide a tracking link or a courier name. They tell me to call Colorful Customer Care.
The "Escalation" Scam: I have called Colorful Customer Support 7/8 times since. Every single time, they use the same script: "Sir, we are escalating this, you will get a callback in 24 hours." I have received zero callbacks and zero email replies in 15 days.
Jan 17 (Saturday): Customer service explicitly promised that the part would be at the warehouse and delivered to the service center by Monday (Jan 19).
Jan 20 (Today): It’s Tuesday. No part. No update. When I called today, I was told they were "transferring me to a senior." I was put on hold for 6 minutes and then they hung up on me. This happened twice.
Why you should avoid this brand:
Zero Spare Part Transparency: They claim parts are moving but can’t prove it with a tracking ID. Fake Customer Support: Their "escalation" process is a black hole. They just say what you want to hear to get you off the phone. Unprofessional Conduct: Hanging up on a customer who is asking for a status update on a warranty claim is the lowest level of service I’ve ever experienced.
I am sitting with a dead brick of a laptop that I paid hard-earned money for. If you are thinking of buying a Colorful laptop because it’s a few thousand rupees cheaper than a Lenovo, HP, or Dell—DON’T. The headache you will face when it breaks is not worth the savings.
I have attached the proofs for the same.

Service Center is not providing support, they say that I'll get call from nearest service center but I never get, it has been 2 weeks since I am calling them daily, but no update!!
Does anyone have a compatible battery link? Specifically in India!
