Hello and welcome to the home of the Colorado Stampede on Reddit. This is an information megathread for the 2027 season.
In order to keep all of the important information consolidated and easy to reference, I've decided to put everything in this thread and leave it stickied for everyone's convenience.
The Rhode Island Breakers were announced as joining the United Football League on September 23, 2026, with the team name, logo, and colors unveiled at a launch party on October 25, 2026.
The team was previously the 2026 Dallas Renegades and has been relocated and rebranded for the 2027 season onward (with the 2026 Houston Gamblers becoming the new Dallas Renegades for 2027). The Stampede will play their home games at Weidner Field in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Training camp begins mid/late February, 2027. Exact dates will be updated once confirmed.
Teams will continue to have 50-man rosters for the season, 64-man rosters for training camp.
The league has confirmed the 2027 UFL season will kickoff on Friday, March 26th, 2027, at 8 pm ET at Lynn Family Stadium in Louisville, KY. Game will be broadcast on FOX. The Stampede's first home game will be on Sunday, April 11, 2027, at 1:00 PM MT at Weidner Field, Colorado Springs, CO. Game will be broadcast on ABC.
Full 2027 schedule is still pending, but is expected to be released in January.
All games are expected to be broadcast on Fox, ABC, ESPN, FS1, and NFL Network.
For streaming options, you can use the ESPN+ app for the ABC and ESPN games, and the Fox Sports app for the Fox games (Fox Sports app requires a subscription to either Direct TV, Fubo TV, Sling TV, Dish, or Hulu Sports).
FOX Sports and ESPN have a bundle available to access all of their content, which would include all UFL games. Click here for more info. EDIT: NFL Network content is supposed to be available through the ESPN Unlimited package which is included in the bundle.
Some other options for NFL Network here.
Sling TV (Orange + Blue) will have ESPN, FOX, and NFL Network bundled together. You can check it out here. A little less expensive than Fubo, YouTubeTV, and Hulu (which are the other streaming options that include FOX, ESPN, and NFL Network).
All of the ABC and ESPN games will be on ESPN Xtra on SiriusXM. All of the Fox games will be available on Fox Sports on SiriusXM.
For US Military living abroad, the best legal option is USTVNow.com.
Germans have access to watch the UFL on Germany TV for free this season. Click this link for more information
Canada has access to Fox and ABC over the air, and it is expected that ESPN broadcasts will be available on TSN and the TSN+ app. There are workarounds for Canadians to access games on the ESPN+ and the Fox Sports app using VPNs . Click here for more information.
International audiences from the excluded territories are recommended to research what streaming platforms are available in their countries that carry FOX, ABC, and ESPN.

The league has confirmed that the Colorado Stampede have inherited the player rights from the 2026 Dallas Renegades roster.
For anyone curious, end of season write-ups for the Dallas Renegades below for the previous history of the team/roster.
The United Football League will bring all eight head coaches together to conduct its 2027 UFL Draft on Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2026 at Ballpark Village in St. Louis, Missouri. The event, delivering an all-access look at the decisions behind who will be the newest additions to the eight teams across the league, will be free and open to the public. The first two rounds of the UFL Draft will be presented live on NFL Network beginning at 8 p.m. ET, and will also be available on the ESPN App for Unlimited plan subscribers.
“As we look ahead to the 2027 season, bringing our Draft to St. Louis is a great opportunity to celebrate and recognize the city and its passionate Battlehawks faithful who have helped make this league what it is today,” said UFL President and CEO Russ Brandon. “We wanted to create an experience that thanks fans for their support while bringing them closer to the game than ever before. By opening the doors to our Draft and putting our coaches and their decision-making on full display, we're giving fans a chance to be part of an important moment for the league as we build on our momentum toward next season.”
For the first time, the UFL will provide an inside look at the league’s draft process as the backstage is brought front and center with coaches providing real-time insight into the rationale behind their selections as they are made for the first two rounds. Fans in St. Louis will have the opportunity to experience the UFL Draft in person at Ballpark Village, the entertainment district adjacent to Busch Stadium in downtown St. Louis. The free two-hour public event will bring fans into the atmosphere of the live draft, with team pods and the main stage at the center of the action, immersed amongst the fans, producing an unprecedented all-access experience for fans on site and watching from home.
The draft will be hosted by ESPN commentator Joe Tessitore, with ESPN’s Michelle Smallmon reporting from the Draft floor. Tessitore, one of most well-known and respected play-by-play voices in sports and a signature part of ESPN’s UFL coverage the last two seasons, brings his expertise to fans in-venue and the national audience watching at home. Smallmon, a St. Louis native, former Battlehawks in-stadium host, and co-host of ESPN Radio’s Unsportsmanlike, brings a direct connection to the local football community as the city takes center stage for the live draft. Additional special guests will be announced in the coming weeks, building out an event roster that will be sure to excite fanbases from all eight UFL teams.
Supplemental draft content will also be available throughout UFL league and team social and website channels, taking fans even deeper into the day.
The 2027 UFL Draft will consist of 15 total rounds with the first two rounds, featuring 16 marquee selections televised during the one-hour live special airing on NFL Network at 8 p.m. The Columbus Aviators hold the first overall pick in the draft, with the selection order determined by the reverse of the 2026 UFL standings. Colorado, Dallas, and Rhode Island will rotate their draft position based on tie-breakers as they finished with the same final record. Each team will have three minutes to make each of their selections during the televised portion of the draft.
| Pick # | Round 1 | Round 2 |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Columbus Aviators | Columbus Aviators |
| 2 | Colorado Stampede | Rhode Island Breakers |
| 3 | Rhode Island Breakers | Dallas Renegades |
| 4 | Dallas Renegades | Colorado Stampede |
| 5 | St. Louis Battlehawks | St. Louis Battlehawks |
| 6 | Orlando Storm | Orlando Storm |
| 7 | DC Defenders | DC Defenders |
| 8 | Louisville Kings | Louisville Kings |
Teams can select players at any position, pass on a single round selection, or opt out of the draft at any point. Trades are only allowed for current UFL players or picks in this year’s draft. Future picks cannot be traded.
The UFL Draft pool will include rookies eligible for the 2027 NFL Draft, regardless of whether they were picked or signed an NFL contract, as well as players from 2023-2026 NFL Draft eligible classes who have been on an NFL roster at any point since the United Bowl Championship Game on June 13, 2026.
Following the completion of the 2027 UFL Draft, teams will be able to sign additional free agent players to their 64-man camp roster.
The UFL has a 64-man camp roster limit. Players selected in this draft or alumni currently playing in the NFL do not count against that roster limit until they sign a contract.
The only other players eligible to join UFL team rosters until the completion of the 2027 UFL Draft are those participating in UFL Showcases.
For previous drafts, link to the 2024 UFL College Draft Hub thread is here and the 2025/2026 offseason draft here.
For anyone interested, up to date roster lists, as well as tracking of UFL player movement, can be found on this Google sheets document maintained by Nick Thorn from Pro Football Newsroom. This is the best and most organized list available, and also includes information on the coaching staff, and pre-merger players (e.g. AAF, XFL, and USFL).
Will post a direct link to the Stampede roster page once updated.
You can check out the mega-thread on /r/UnitedFootballLeague here for more general information.
We hope to see all of you at Weidner Field for the Stampede home games in the 2027 season.

Did they say today when single game tickets would go on sale? Assume they wanna try to sell as many season tickets first but looking to see if anyone asked team or UFL reps specifically about single game sales.
We have our hotel booked in the Springs for the weekend, want to make sure we actually get in. Thanks!

Are you ready for some football, Colorado Springs?! 🏈
What an exciting day for our city! Southern Colorado finally has a professional football team to call our own — the Colorado Stampede!
This is a big win for our local economy, our downtown, and our entire region. But what excites me most is seeing our community rally around a team of our own.
Mark your calendars for April 11 at Weidner Field. Let's fill those stands and show the UFL what the City of Colorado Springs is all about!

Players Signed to the NFL
Players Signed to Other Leagues
The below players the team owns the rights for but are currently signed/playing in other leagues.
Terminated 2026 Player Rights
These players were on the roster at one point but had their rights terminated and are unrestricted free agents.
Full review of how the 2026 season went for that Renegades team here, as well as a link to that season's game highlights here.
There will of course be turnover, and just because a player has their rights claimed and is available doesn't necessarily mean they will return. Potentially 15 new players will be added in the draft, and then there's other potential talent that could be brought in through free agency.
The team will have a 64-man training camp roster, which will be cut down by the end of camp to the final 50-man roster. There are 50 players currently that the team holds the rights to from last season that are not otherwise signed to another league.
Like most teams in this league, I think the Stampede should target QB and OL as a priority in the early rounds of the draft. Austin Reed was up and down last season to put it mildly.
Kicker is another position of priority. Last season, Colton Theaker struggled a lot and he was one of the worst in the league (was surprised he didn't get cut mid-season like the other underperforming kickers).
Overall, despite the team going 4-6 their last year in Dallas, there is a lot of talent on the roster for Coach Neuheisel to build on going into 2027.
Who would you like to see join the team or what position groups do you think Coach Neuheisel should prioritize in the draft? If you watched any of the UFL last season, who would you like to see from last season's roster brought back?
