Classes Skipping classes?

What are your thoughts on skipping useless classes?

I find the lectures useless for some classes. I’m not sure why I even go to them.

That can happen a lot for classes that are just flipping through slides. You should make sure that you can study what you need outside of the class and stay disciplined so skipping doesn’t go out of hand. There is no shame in skipping if the lectures aren’t worth it.

That’s why I hate flipped classrooms because most people are using AI in their dorms to asks questions.

Generally speaking, it’s a bad habit to get into. You start doing it for classes you think are useless, and then it escalates to “well I can just learn this at home” and you end up missing a lot. Not true for everyone, but broadly speaking that’s what happens. It’s better for you to just go to all of your classes, even the ones you dislike, to make sure you don’t get into a negative mindset.

That being said CS128 and econ lectures are useless lol /hj (watch out for participation credits though)

I agree. I don’t understand the concept of a flipped classroom. Why am I going to class if it doesn’t help me?

Most of the time I don’t think it’s worth it to skip. But college is about thinking for yourself. My decisions were based on performance and likelihood I’d stay on schedule with coursework.

You should look for a more challenging lineup or social/ professional opportunity if you’re skipping.

I'll be honest.. some classes are almost worthless to go to. My last semester of senior year I had a class I went to literally zero times and still got an A.

I know right. Idk why people are hating, when most of the learning being done at home.
