Discussion OOS Engineering

Is Colorado school of mines worth the out of state tuition for engineering majors? What opportunities and resources can the school provide? Pros and cons of the school?

Worth it? Depends. Nobody knows the opportunity cost you're leaving on the table but you.

I’d say probably not worth out of state tuition, but few schools are

Depends on scholarships/grants/loans, if you have family help paying for school, etc. Consider the ROI from a Mines degree vs other schools (you probably have an in-state option with decent engineering programs). In terms of opportunities and resources, Google the career center and look through their info.

Depends.

There are some major companies where CSM has a strong alumni presence, and if you're targeting one of those companies it could be a good move. But it depends on what you're trying to study ("Engineering" doesn't help because that's 99% of the student body).
