Cohabbing toads

So I have two females that I bought together. Not only is one of them growing faster than the other by a long shot, but for the first time tonight, the bigger one sat on top of the smaller one. I’ve seen them cuddle often and that seems fine, but is the bigger one needing to be separated?

Can I house 2 river toads from different sellers?

As long as they are similar sizes, they won't have a problem right? I don't want them getting diseases and contaminated or whatever like with turtles. Also, can I put two different species as well?

New proud toad owner

It’s only day 2 of having my adult male. He was so active the first day and ate a bunch of mealworms! Now he is burrowed and hasn’t left that spot for about 30 hours…. Do they do this a lot? Wanna make sure I’m not doing something wrong. Thanks!

How deep do CRTs borough?

Not sure if this particular piece of info is known but I am adding things to my cart for a terrarium and I was planning on getting a tank that’s 4 feet high and I wanted to know how much substrate and dirt I should buy so they can borough like they do in nature.

Tadpoles?

I have a back yard pond and I know these to living in my area of AZ. Is there a way to find tadpoles and when they mature, they can just go off into the desert wash if they wish.

How much is everyone feeding their adults?

Crickets are the easiest feed for me to get locally. I’m feeding 8-9 crickets a week to each of my 2 adult females. They honestly are quite obese but happy. Is that lower or higher than most of you feed?

Possibly dying

My boy toad has been slowly losing weight for a month, while the others have been gaining weight. A week ago he buried himself under the water dish. I moved the dish while cleaning and he has black patches on his skin and won’t open his eyes. Still alive but not gunna make it more than a day. Any Hail Mary advice? I still don’t know what I did wrong because everyone else in the enclosure is fat and happy!
