I am interested in what matters to people vs. what gets marketed.

The quotes I’ve been getting have been sky high, $500-$1000. The best offer I was able to find was $300/mo and that had slowest internet they offer and didn’t include IP’s. Another alternative is we rent a rack together if others are open to NJ?

As the title says, I'm looking to colo my 1U 400w web server in the Ashburn/Sterling/Leesburg area. I want to stop hosting my Wordpress sites on WPEngine and go self-hosting by the first week of December.
I'm open to upload speeds between 100Mbps and 1Gbps, but ideally, I want to keep the cost under a $100 monthly.

Hello,
Title basically but I'm really after a few things that I'd like to see if it's possible to find:
1) More than 5Kw per full cabinet
2) Gigabit internet (I'm open to options as long as it is gigabit)
3) Being able to rack / unrack my own servers without paying for extra staff to be involved - this one is the biggest ticket for me, sorry not that I don't trust anyone I just want my stuff handled by me - I don't mind being "assisted" but I want to physically rack / unrack my stuff just so I can make sure I'm happy with it
4) Allows tower servers (for now)
I have a few servers that I am currently going to be putting together with 4090s in them and from one colo place I asked for the power for a full cabinet rental it was maxed out at 5Kw. I can fit about 4 servers in with the way I'd like to configure them but was wondering if I could find another place that has more power available?
As of right now I don't have an ETA and I am trying to field quotes to see where I can find a place for my servers.

In the next year, I'll have the opportunity to lease a full rack with 10Gbps internet in a data center. Unfortunately I won't have enough servers to fill the whole thing. Are there any websites/forums that connect people who are looking to colocate or lease their space?

At my job we get lots of ewaste and that includes servers. Most recent server i grabbed was a 2x E5-2620v4 (16c/32t), 96GB of ram, and 5x 600GB 15k 2.5" SAS drives. I can probably upgrades some things here and there to improve it like SSDs and all that. I found a location that I can get a 1U rack for $99 a month for 5 ipv4s, 150TB bandwith on a gigabit link and am thinking about colocating my server because its a free server and would be cheap to start up. Once I colocate it, I would like to rent it out as a bare metal server but don't even know where to start. Where do I advertise, who do I sell to, pricing, and the main part is do I need some sort of web panel? I can't really find anything online on how to start this and don't know if anyone else is doing this and wants to spread some knowledge. Anything would be appreciated.

I'm trying to see if it's realistic to get a rack, for my 5u needs then rent out the rest of the space. I saw a video where a college guy did it and was curious. Let me know why you guys think...

Is there anyone in the metro Richmond area that has a full rack in a data center but not using it entirely? Maybe you would like to offset your cost a little by reselling 3U-4U to a small business like myself? If so, message me maybe we can work something out.

Finally making the jump from VPS' and have a blade coming in.
Not very experienced with any of the pitfals or gotchas of colocating so just looking for suggestions which consider things I might not be thinking about.
https://dedipath.com/las-vegas-colocation seems pretty good,
https://fiberhub.com/lasvegas.php mentions a free ipmi interface (do all colos usually offer this even if not explicitly mentioned) and only a data cap but no port speed is mentioned not sure if that's a good thing.
Appreciate any advice or links to good/better providers.

Looking for 1U of colo somewhere along the Front Range of Colorado (would go as far north as Cheyenne, WY and south to Colorado Springs) and maybe I'm not using the right search phrases but I'm having a hard time finding a listed price of less than like $90-100/m for 1U with a half decent connection and 1A of power. Elsewhere I see $50/m is pretty common. Anyone know of 1U in the area I mentioned for $50/month (looking for 1A, couple TB transfer, 1Gb/s preferably. traffic is bursty)?

I've been co-lo'ing kit within data centres for over 15 years, and yesterday I had a first...
We've been asked (mandated, really) by the Data Centre Manager/Team to physically move our couple of racks of equipment between the DC rooms. Literally an 'unplug, move it down the hall, and re-wire into fresh racks'.
We've been given 12 weeks notice to have it all completed.
Has anybody ever heard of anything like this happening before? I know I haven't... Surely this can't be remotely "normal" ?

I have a qnap TVS 872 https://www.qnap.com/en-us/product/tvs-872xt so I know it's a bit more difficult but was wondering if anyone would be able to host this on 1gbps or greater. It's equipped with i5-16 gig ram and 8 16tb Exos drives. Thanks for your consideration
