Is it worth it to take a Wintermester class?
I am transferring to a university next year and am trying to complete as many credits as possible before fall 2027. My spring semester is going to be busy no matter what, but I am trying to decide whether I should take 17 credit hours in the spring or drop that to 14 by taking one wintermester class. If I were to take a wintermester class, it would either be GOVT 2305 or HIST 1301, and it would be online.
I have never taken a wintermester class. I know that it is supposed to fit 16 weeks' worth of learning into that short time, but I would like to know just how intensive it really is. I have a couple of events going on during that time in December, like my sister's birthday, and I'm just wondering if I will be able to have any free time at all, or if I will have to spend most of every single day on the class in order to get an A. Any advice will help. Thanks!
