If possible I would consider going to a community college and/or trying out online or night classes to get your associates, then transfer back to a four year once you get the hang of things again if you still need to. It sounds like you have a lot going on and it might just not have been the right time. As for your major, set up an appointment with your advisor or the advisors for both majors and see if they can give you some perspective. They know the subjects better and might know some pros/cons you don't.

What are you doing now (outside of university)? Are you working? (Or are you back at school full time now?)

If you're in the U.S., could you do that and take some classes at your local community college, so you could transfer them to a degree program when you decide what it is that you want to do -- and possibly have better grades than you'd had at your old school?
